*** Surrey Jive's NEW YEAR'S EVE PARTY - ONE THIRD OF THE TICKETS ALREADY SOLD (Bookings only available online and close on 15th December at 8.00 pm for catering purposes) ***

Wednesday 31st December (7.30 pm - 12.30 am) at The Wells Centre, Spa Drive, Epsom, Surrey, KT18 7LR (situated close to the M25).

Following Earl Jackson’s fantastic performance at Ruby’s back in March of this year, we knew we had to build on the success of our very first New Year’s Eve party last year, and what better way to do that than to bring back the ultimate showman and his band.

Earl has a ‘BIG’ personality, and his high-energy shows are just what is needed to make your special evening one to remember. Watching Earl perform leaves you with the impression ‘Chuck Berry’ is on stage, and believe us when we say, he has the moves to prove it. Like many American Rock n’ Roll artists, his roots began in gospel music, where he performed for more than ten thousand people. Making the transformation to Rock' n’ Roll, he formed ‘The Earl Jackson Four’ and performed on radio and TV.

Your evening will begin with a drinks reception where you will be offered a glass of Prosecco (or an alternative soft drink). A cold luxury buffet will then be provided during the evening. There is NO BAR at this venue, so please feel free to bring your own alcohol/drinks.

In between sets, Shakin' Shep (Surrey Jive’s resident DJ) will be creating that unique Ruby’s sound, and playing from his huge collection of ‘Red Hot and Blue’ floor fillers that include R'n'B, Rock'n’ Roll, Rockabilly and Jump Jive. He knows how to keep you on the dance floor, and we promise you will have a wonderful evening at ‘The Home of Happy Feet.’

The Wells Centre is situated close to the M25 and has a large dance floor and free residential parking.

Tickets are £40.00 per person (we are sorry, but this is an Adults ONLY event) and they can only be purchased in advance. Due to catering requirements, ticket sales will close on Monday, 15th December at 8.00pm. Therefore, NO TICKETS will be available at the door. Numbers are limited, so please book early to avoid being disappointed via the following link: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/surreyjiveltd/1654839

Thank you very much for looking, and we wish you all the very best for 2026!

“Lest We Forget” – Remembrance Wartime Dance with Tom Carradine - ONLY 1 WEEK TO GO and TICKETS SELLING!

Saturday 8th November (7.30 pm – 11.15 pm) at Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall, Woodfield Lane, Ashtead, Surrey, KT21 2BE.

This has to be one of our most popular dances of the year, and the atmosphere is always fantastic but respectful. We go to great lengths to decorate the hall as a period dance hall, and the props just seem to keep growing every year. So why not get in the spirit and come dressed in a 1940s Allied uniform or civilian dress to add to the authenticity? There will be a prize for the best-dressed participant. Who knows, ladies, you may even get to dance with a G.I.! That said, if dressing up isn't for you, please don’t worry; just come as you are - it is your company that is important.

The extremely talented Tom Carradine will be performing for you on piano, and he will be playing a host of your wartime favourites so we can have a sing-along and a good ol’ cockney knees up! Either side of Tom’s performance, Shakin’ Shep (Surrey Jive’s resident DJ) will be playing a mix of Swing and R&B (no Rock n’ Roll this month, it will return in December).

Our dances are well attended, and you will find a warm and friendly atmosphere to greet you. Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall has a large sprung dance floor, licensed bar and large free car park or motor pool. The hall is situated close to the M25.

Tickets are £13.00 per person, and they can be purchased in advance via the attached link: https://www.tickettailor.com/events/surreyjiveltd/1343127

Should any tickets remain, they will be sold at the door for the same price. Please book early to avoid being disappointed.
Thank you very much for looking, and we hope to see you on the dance floor at The Home of Happy Feet!

A big thank you to everyone who came to Ruby's last night.

Thank you very much for supporting us. It was nice to be back after summer break. You can see from the photos and the smiles on so many of your faces. What a wonderful evening it was. The Jets were on top form and played two fantastic sets for us. The quality of their performance and stand-out harmonies was second to none. You can see why they continue to attract an audience, some 51 years later! Thank you very much indeed.

I would also like to thank Peter Stockwell for his photos, which form part of this Surrey Jive's album 303. Stephen Gwalter's (Happy on the Planet) and John Reid's photos are to follow. So please don't forget to check back. We are extremely fortunate to have three such talented photographers at our events.

Lastly, but by no means least, were the army of helpers who helped us to clear up at the end of the evening. We are so grateful to you all.

Our next Ruby's is on Saturday 11th October, when we return to Ashtead Peace Memorial Hall, Woodfield Lane, Ashtead, Surrey, KT21 2BE (7.30 pm - 11.15 pm) and host The Class of 58.

We hope to see you on the dance floor.
