Housing is the biggest problem facing the UK by a long way.
It affects every single last one of us, especially kids.
It impacts every person, every family, every business, every council, every local government, every devolved government, and the entire UK economy.
Nothing else has a bigger impact.
Not the NHS
Not money
Not immigration
Not even education.
Our homes are where we LIVE every day. They’re where we sleep every night.
Housing is the biggest problem of them all.
And thus, it’s the biggest opportunity to turn things around on multiple fronts:
The economy
Welfare
Health
Family life
Crime reduction
And even education.
There is no other single problem whose rectification benefits more people, both in the short and long term, than housing.
If you fix housing, I promise you it fixes everything else.
The biggest challenge is its complexity, and how few understand the broad array of sub-topics necessary to fix it.
I find myself alone here, with a bizarre career history that has left me with the least-bad understanding of the breadth and depth of the problem of anyone else I’ve encountered yet.
I need to assemble a serious team to fix housing.
They need to be deeply experienced in their field AND have the ability to understand how their field interconnects with the others.
It’s a big mountain to climb, but the prize is worth it.
It fixes the UK. I promise you.
In time I’ll be asking everyone for support, not money, but your time, your attention and your influence, however small or large that is.
I hope you’ll be ready to help. If enough of you are, then we will
Fix housing, and with it fix everything.
