Good things, including debut singles, come in threes!
We’ve been really busy since the Source Studio opened in April! We’re currently finalising mixes for some awesome new bands that have recorded with us and that you’ll absolutely love!!!
So look out for releases from Neo punk rock band Nevik - Band Indie rockers Cicada band and prog rock from , who have all recorded at the Source Studio this summer. The songs are all being mixed by the Award-Winning Pete Marten and sounding amazing!
However, it takes a lot longer than people realise from first recording, to release.
In between there’s desk mixes, then mix notes and a playlist of reference songs to be pulled together and sent with the desk mix to the mixing & mastering engineer. Then you have the time it takes for the band to listen on a range of speakers to the first mixes, send us their feedback & comments and then the changes requested for up to 5 mix revisions, more mixes, more comments until everyone has a track they are proud to release.
Then there’s the admin; registering publishing and creating logos, stockpiling photos, a bio and list of gigs for the EPK. Not forgetting the single artwork and creation of a Distrokid account to get the song on to Spotify. And then there’s the launch campaign, uploading to BBC Introducing, the pre save link, launch campaign and reviews, playlists, radio play and gigs to promote the single!!
