The Latin word for threshold is limina. A moment of in-between, of time in stillness. What lies beyond a threshold or doorway is something that cannot be known until the crossing is done.
For many, doors have been the catalysts for enormous change, for reasons better or worse.
For some, doors have remained closed, locked even, with the key placed purposefully out of reach.
We have opened and closed many doors in our lifetimes. What thresholds have you stood upon? What thresholds do you stand upon now? What doors have you opened, and which have remained closed to you?
A threshold can be a place, it can be a memory, an experience, an object, a person, a word. Give us your poems, artwork and stories. Conjure us a door in which we can open and walk through.
