Purpose: to restore the home to a high level of cleanliness, often before/after major events, move-ins/outs, or seasonally.

Time: longer – several hours up to a full day, depending on the home size and level of dirt.

Frequency: usually a few times per year, e.g., once every 3–6 months.

Many people reach for popular stain removers like Vanish, thinking they’ll quickly get rid of spots. But in reality, these products can often do more harm than good 😬

Here’s what you should know:

1️⃣ They can remove color, not just the stain
Strong bleaching agents can lighten carpet fibers. The stain may disappear, but a lighter “patch” remains — and that’s permanent.

2️⃣ They leave chemical residues behind
Even after wiping, some product stays in the carpet. This attracts more dirt and dust, making the area look worse over time.

3️⃣ They can damage the fibers
Aggressive chemicals can make carpet fibers stiff, dull, and wear out faster.

4️⃣ They make professional cleaning harder
