A couple of weeks ago, we paid a visit to Burgess Hill CC on a Friday night 🏏
We were blown away by the sheer number of youngsters participating in cricket, the volume of volunteers doing their bit both on and off the field, and the joy on everyone's faces throughout the evening!
Despite having hundreds and hundreds descending on St Johns Park, it never felt out of control, or messy. The organisation behind the evening is superb, with everyone knowing where they need to be and when. It was simply incredible to watch!
It's a shame that the council is currently letting such a great club down with their lack of support. But, despite this, they continue to thrive, providing excellent cricket to anyone who wants it. Hopefully the council see sense at some point and support BHCC the way they should be.
A big thank you to everyone at Burgess Hill for welcoming us, we're thoroughly enjoying working with you, and look forward to many more visits to SJP! 🙌
