Jim Rawcliffes More Takes

Jim put Tails up together in 1989 but had to sell the business in 2003 through illness. He was widely known for his attention to detail and quality in manufacturing both bait and tackle. Names like Protavit Liver, Protavit Shellfish, Goliath sleeping bags, Tempest suits and Babylon bivvies were just a few of the baits and products that Jim designed and produced. Jims philosophy has always been to

use the best products and materials available to make food baits that are healthy and nutritious for fish. He caught his first carp in 1965 and made his first boilie in 1969. Jim is now fully recovered and very proud to be running his new company “More Takes”. Our new boilie range is called "PROMATEIN". There is a Promatein Liver version and a Promatein Shellfish version. Over the last ten years, Jim has been gathering all sorts of fantastic new potential ingredients and he's put many of them into the Promatein range. The new baits have only been available for a couple of weeks but catch results are already well above expectations. Hopefully some of the secret squirrels will let us have some pictures soon! Sorry to look a bit unprofessional at the moment but demand has taken us by surprise. We don't have a web site yet, in fact we don't actually have any labels for the bottles and bags but we do have bait and that's all our customers seem to care about!
