Project Manager from Canal & River Trust joined the meeting via zoom to answer questions raised following the visit to the newly created Vrynwy Nature Reserve. He explained that permission has not yet been agreed with NRW for the reserve to join to the River but he is confident that this will be granted and they will return shortly to reseed and plant hedging. Councillors felt that a lot of money had been spent on this new Reserve when the actual condition of the Canal is poor. CRT explained that due to restrictions they were unable to repair the Tanat feeder until late Autumn and then have been hampered by the drought and unable to abstract more water to refill the Canal. They appreciate that soldier w**d has re-established itself but have secure more funding to work through a Programme of more dredging to eradicate it.

Grateful thanks to Pivotal Ltd for re-fixing and grouting the tiles in the Underpass – the artwork is an important part of our Village.
