Latest News;-
Over several years the Community Council has received many requests for the provision of Allotments in the Village – Powys County Council have a duty to provide Allotments if such a request has been received but it has taken them several years to at last provide 0.50 acre. This is situated down Domgay Lane (part of Oakhurst Farm). We will now contact those persons who had registered an interest to see if they are interested in forming an Allotment Association so that this can be persued further. If you are interested in growing your own veg or flowers and wish to be added to the list please let the Clerk know.
Trunk Road Agency have repositioned the new bus shelter on the A483 by Church House as it was obscuring visibility for anyone exiting Parsons Lane – this has helped improve the safety for motorists using this junction.
The Community Council has also been reminding Highways Department of outstanding work in the Village – the most important being to improve the drainage at the entrance to the School/Village Centre, improve the drainage outside Domgay Chapel to prevent a permanent puddle and also repair the culvert under the B4393 by Pentreheylin where serious flooding occurred several times last year. They have also been reminded to renew the white lining by the entrance to Carnbwl down Domgay Lane as this has now faded away.
