As a self-confessed kettle basher, I’ll admit I had my reservations. But spending a day behind a Class 25 was a brilliant experience. Sound card giving you that diesel thrash, smoke machine finishing the look, and absolutely zero worrying about boiler pressure or shovelling coal. Sometimes it’s good to cross the aisle.

This is Shooting Star — a member built 70000 Class in 5 inch gauge. An absolutely enormous locomotive that takes some serious effort to get in and out of the car. But the moment it hits the track? It steals the show every single time. 😅
