It's episode 15! 💫💫💫

This time we are treated to the charming tones and stories of singer-songwriter 🎙️

Aaron is a fresh face on the Glasgow music scene, having released their first single ’Shifting Sands’ a year ago in March 2025. He has since been busy making his first EP ’Summertime' at Starla Recordings near Lochwinnoch, with this due to be released in February of 2026.

He has an impressively rich baritone voice, reminiscent of classic American artists like Nat King Cole, Johnny Mathis, and Frank Sinatra, but he also takes much inspiration from soul legends like Marvin Gaye, and can exude the sort of sultry darkness found in singers like Jim Morrison.

His understated delivery, coupled with the candidity of his songwriting, makes for a heart-wrenching yet comforting listen - a style that has been attracting fans and collaboraters alike. Think John Prine, City And Colour, Townes Van Zandt...

In this episode we talk abut Kenneth's writing methods, antidepressants and creativity, his collaborative work with , the at , and many other subjects. With a speaking voice as easy to listen to as his music, this all made for a deeply enjoyable conversation - hope you enjoy it too!

Hey! Long time no speak (lol)

Thrilled to be back with another episode after a good long break, this time with the wonderfully ethereal talent that is ! 🌟💧🌜🌳

Zoë has long held a place in the Scottish and UK folk music scenes, starting out with her first EP at age 14, and over the years has developed a compelling artistic voice with a loyal following. On her latest recordings, her delicate, breathy tones layer into a silky, other-worldly voice that encourages us to look after ourselves, our people and the world around us.

In this episode, as well songwriting, we discuss in detail a subject very close to Zoë's heart - climate change. We talk about the grief that can come with witnessing the degradation of our planet, but also about the hope that lives on within us to do something about it.

The host of various open-mics and a regular performer around the city, Julen has a voice that aches with emotion, as well as a colourful twang that suits the rootsy Americana music he is so fond of.

Episode 9 with James Michael Rodgers on it's way to your ears next week! Glad to be back at it 💪🏼

James hails from the Scottish seaside town Saltcoats, but currently lives in Berlin where he is at the cockpit of the thriving folk music community, helming two weekly songwriters sessions at Neulich Sessions and Space Sessions.

James makes vibrant, life-affirming folk tunes about the places and people he's known, while channeling the likes of Van Morrison, John Martyn and Bob Dylan. He's been open about the struggles he's had with alcohol, but being on a sober path these days he is finding new clarity in his life and work.
