Head of Ontrade Magazine Calls Hospitality to Rally at Scottish and UK Parliaments

The Head of Ontrade Magazine today issued a call to action for the hospitality industry to unite at both the Scottish Parliament and the UK Parliament on Tuesday 27 January, urging governments to recognise and support a sector that is vital to the economy, communities, and culture.

With businesses across hospitality facing mounting pressures, the gatherings will send a clear, united message to both governments: . From pubs and bars to restaurants, hotels, and suppliers, the industry is being asked to stand together and be seen and heard.

“Hospitality is a cornerstone of our high streets, our employment, and our social fabric,” said the Head of Ontrade Magazine Justin Wingate . “Simple discussion , campaigning and lobbying clearly isn’t changing anything and is ether falling on deaf ears or we are simply being paid lip service , This is a moment for the industry to come together and show policymakers—at Holyrood and Westminster—that meaningful support is needed now .”

The rallies aim to demonstrate the scale, value, and resilience of hospitality, and to call for an immediate change to rates as well providing policies that enable long-term sustainability and growth.

Wingate continued :

“ We ask for everyone to attend and show your support , peacefully and in an organised manner on Tuesday 27th of January at both Uk and Scottish parliaments at 9am and show that “
