I didn’t start my business because I was full of confidence and had some big clever plan.

I started it during the hardest time of my life. I needed something that was mine. Something I could build around being a mum and around a life that had completely changed.

There were no perfect systems. I didn’t have everything figured out. I just knew I had skills, I wanted more control over my life and I was willing to learn as I went.

That decision went on to change so much for me.
It gave me an income, a career, awards I never imagined winning and the freedom to work around my family. It gave me proof that even when life doesn’t go the way you thought it would, you can still build something really good from where you are.

That is a huge part of why I want to teach other women how to do this now.

Not because freelancing is an easy route or a quick fix. It isn’t.

But because having skills you can earn from gives you choices. And as a woman and a mum, having choices means everything.

Imposter syndrome doesn't mean you're not qualified.

Canada must have done something to me, because I’ve come back with an actual fire in me, to create, to write, to teach. And, jeez oh! I’ve missed that feeling way more than I realised.

So for now, while I’m channelling all of it into something new, you’ll find me over on the newsletter or the facebook group where some very exciting changes are happening behind the scenes.
