This is a film that’s been two years in the making — a story we were crazy enough to make without funding, just pure graft.

Directed by , Behind is a post-apocalyptic satire about… well, let’s just say the title is very literal.

Before Straw became a short film, it was originally written as a dark comedy series — think HBO’s Barry meets Scottish folk horror.
Here’s a look at the moodboard we created when Straw was first conceived as a pilot.

While the idea never quite found the right home with regional broadcasters, we didn’t want to let the world die — so we reimagined it as this short film.

While our crowdfunded short stands on its own, we’ve always envisioned a much bigger world beyond Grimshore Isle — one that taps into universal themes of family, identity, loyalty, and belief, all wrapped in a humorous take on the folk horror genre.

We believe these are stories that could travel far beyond Scotland.
