We took Brodie to meet Santa at Heads of Ayr Farm Park! The grotto room was beautifully done, Santa himself was brilliant, and the elves were so full of energy… They really made it enjoyable for Brodie.
It was about a 70-minute drive for us, and in hindsight maybe a bit much for a 1-year-old. Next year he’ll understand the magic a bit more and probably be in a better wee mood!
He wasn’t too keen on being held by Santa (totally understandable at his age!), but Santa was incredibly patient and helped us get a nice family photo. We bought the souvenir photo… A little pricey, but no pressure at all and we wanted one from his first ever visit!
Afterwards we went to see the animals, but it was cold and rainy so they were all hiding. The restaurant looked amazing though, VERY winter-wonderland vibes, but Brodie had other plans, so we headed home for lunch and nap time!
Overall, the experience wasn’t perfect, mainly because Brodie’s still so young, but it was definitely worth the £28 entry for 1 child + 2 adults. We’ll absolutely go back next year when he’ll enjoy it properly!
A lovely first Santa experience, even with a wee bit of fuss thrown in. Swipe to the end to see his reaction to Santa 🙈😂😂😂
