🔵🔵🔵Dan Neil Progress🔵🔵🔵

They say one swallow doesn’t make a summer but that performance was so, so much better.

More control, more possession, more proactive.

We have connections down in the north east and unanimously they raved about the lad, but if we are being honest we’ve not really seen it.

In defence of Dan, when he has been looking forward there hasn’t been a lot to pick out.

What did you make of his performance and are you more confident he will come good now?

🔵🔴🔵Manny Fernandez Watch🔵🔴🔵

Guys, interested to hear what you made of big Fernandez’ performance yesterday.

The noise has been loud and negative this season, quite rightly at times but we’re not hearing too much today.

What did you make of his display against Motherwell?

Wednesday is the next challange!

We host St Mirren at Ibrox, 19:45 kick off live on Premier Sports and Rangers tv.

Another test in McInnes early Rangers managerial career!

What do we expect, well we have already played them this season and we got a fantastic result out of that game, so straight of the bat we would suggest forgetting about that, like us all teams will have players getting fitter, adapting to new managers and new managers style of play and formations, throw in finding some form and confidence! Our opponents gave them across the city a difficult game, hard to work out if they were poor or St Mirren were the architects of their poor play! Usually a well organised big physical team!

On us, and we should in our opinion be 100 percent focused on ourselves, we are starting to play some better football! Maybe a few are starting to find their feet! Pandur looking better with every game, Penrice settling in well, Sterling another very good game. Big Mak, we’ll all we can say is we rate this guy big time, Fernandez has been ropey, again heavily criticised and to be honest his performance have warranted some of this, again let’s remember he is a very young guy with loads of potential, surely his own teams fans should try and help/support him instead of moaning? But regardless he looked better yesterday, yes we would like to see the ball moved a wee bit quicker but let’s let the coaching staff deal with that. Then Dan Neil, could cut and paste with the fans instant criticism of this lad, but yesterday was arguably the best player in the park, Raskin, yet to find the heights he can play at. Minsu full of running and energy, again a very young lad in a totally different environment, again we love what we are seeing. Wingers Curtis and Gassama, well Gassama is another who has had some flack and still getting some, but every-time he gets the ball he is looking to take players in and have a go, a dying trade in wingers in our opinion, Curtis, well we have said before we all want this lad to kick on, a good performance yesterday and let’s see if he can be consistent! We have just done an article in the strikers!

Basically we are heading in a better direction compared to just a couple weeks ago, still guys like Drago and new Algerian winger to come in properly. Winning games will help build confidence and better performances as well as a better understanding in how each player plays and McInnes style of play in and out of possession!

What’s your predictions for Wednesdays game?

Are you going?

Goals, Goals, Goals

So we have mentioned that Shankland could be out for weeks or even months, although a scan on Monday will confirm the extent of the injury! In true Rangers luck/style, we all expect the worst.

Shankland it seemed was starting to find his feet and has banged in 3 in last two games, prior to coming off early against Motherwell!

A lot of have mentioned how well Naderi performed yesterday, however, some are still a bit unhappy, but there is a list of managers and players that some folk were never happy about and were chased away, perhaps comparing back to yesteryear!!!

Dessers & Gio spring to mind.

Naderi worked hard and when played through the middle, in his natural position he has scored. Again, one person questioned this yesterday instead of acknowledging that he done well - this season it’s 2 goals in just under 3 games through middle to answer the fan.

We felt that last season he was deployed to help Chermiti, either playing wider or deeper at times and basically done a lot of the dirty work up top!

Yesterday when he came on through middle his hard work was rewarded with our first goal. He linked play up well, and once again he should have had an assist to his name for laying of Minsu in the 18 yard box!

He’s a young lad who has moved country but never once has given anything less than 100 percent!

Maybe we just need to get behind him and support him. It’s a a crazy idea/ suggestion but we might get more out of the lad if he feels the love, as we say, it’s just a crazy suggestion!

Kelsy is similar after we have seen less than 30 mins in Rangers shirt. He looked sharp, held the ball up well, brought wingers into the game after the holding up play and switching ball out wide. He’s capable of dropping deeper to link up the play or stay further up as the focal point showing some really nice flashes.

He had one big chance and again it seems as though that’s all some are keen to talk about. The positive were there to be seen, he was involved at the start of the play that lead up to the chance and within seconds we have a cross and good opportunity where Kelsy quickly gets into box and gets on end and clips the bar!

We need to remember that like Naderi, he is a young lad, has just moved country and no doubt would have been a bit nervous as well!

Let’s back him and give him time to settle and adapt to a new environment!

So with the injury to Shanks it’s easy to be doom and gloom, but it gives others an opportunity to step up and maybe getting chucked in deep end is exactly what some need!

Let’s hear your thoughts!
