Pike Fishing Scotland

Water is pretty low, and the fish aren't biting. Down at my local club water.
Due to "adulting" commitments (builders coming to fix fences and the wall that blew down during storm) I will not be fishing until Friday..... but it will be a long session.

First morning fishing in what feels like an age. Also, my first short session on this reservoir. Castlehill in Perth And Kinross. It is absolutely gorgeous, very windy, but I'll be back tomorrow. Hunting for a 20lb +

All I want is a winter carp.

There's worse ways to spend your morning before a night shift rotation. No sniff of a winter carp, but the new gear got a turn. I am very impressed with the kaizen greens, a lot of rod for the price.

I packed light for a walk across the resevoir. So light, I forgot my lead pouch at home and had to leave my gear and hoof it back to the car. Can't fish without my weights.
No drama, no one lifted my gear.
The sun came out but the wind was still cold. It's always colder on the water and colder still without my bivvy, cooker and kettle.
I learned a valuable lesson and I never caught a sniff of a pike.
There's always next time.
