Lovely day out at Kington Show yesterday. Our ram lamb Ty-Gwyn Iestyn come 4th

Freyas Border Leicesters brought home the goods with each 1 bringing home a 1st placing in each class plus the group of 3. And Freyas darling Ellie got reserve champion ❤️

Unfortunately, with the smaller shows, the Dutch Spotted often get put into a mixed class, despite there being a predominantly DS turnout. The judge must have been a blue texel man because unless there was a rosette left over, no spotty got given one. I'm not saying it because we should have gotten placed, but some of the sheep being shown were top quality. Unfortunately, that's the luck of the draw with judges in a mixed class. It's time to save our pennies and get MV accredited so we can go to bigger shows and be judged against our own breeds more 🤞🏼

Final day of show prep for this year. Tomorrow, we are heading to Kington Show with 4 Dutch Spotted and 3 Border Leicesters. For our 3rd and final show of the year. It's certainly been a learning curve, and hopefully, next year, we will get out to more shows 😄

We picked up some ex battery hens last weekend, and they are steadily laying eggs. Once the yolk colour has improved, we will also have eggs available 😄

Collecting more pork this afternoon! Pork joints (shoulder and legs), chops, and more sausages!

We also have lamb available and plenty of diced goat!
