A slightly unconventional awards night for Lighten The Load this week 🏆

We were absolutely thrilled to be finalists in the Environmental Impact category at the Scottish Borders Business Excellence Awards.

Unfortunately, Sophie and I were in Greece when the awards took place. Terrible timing. We know. 🇬🇷😂

So we sent a rather fabulous delegation in our place: Sophie's mum and dad, Karen and Clive.

And honestly? They understood the assignment.

Karen brought the glamour. Clive knew the brief with those fantastic trousers. 😂

They had a wonderful evening representing us and came home with our beautiful finalist award, which we're incredibly proud of.

Being recognised as a finalist for Environmental Impact means such a lot to us. Creating positive change through what we do has always been important to us, and it feels really special to have that acknowledged.

A huge congratulations to the winner om the night Eildon Housing 👏 very well deserved and to all of the other incredible businesses recognised on the night. ❤️

And of course, a huge thank you to everyone involved in organising the awards, and to Karen and Clive for stepping up as the official Lighten The Load delegation. X

Tonight is the Scottish Borders Chamber of Commerce Awards at Peebles Hydro! 🥂

We are absolutely thrilled to have been nominated for an Environmental Award, something we are incredibly proud of. 🌿

There is just one tiny problem, when we found out about the nomination, we were already booked to be away! 😂

Luckily, we have the next best thing: Clive and Karen are going along to represent us, meet the other nominees and hopefully have a fabulous evening on our behalf.

Some of you will recognise Clive from our posts about donations and Sophie’s parents have been hugely supportive of us and our business, so we couldn't think of better people to have there.

We hope they have an absolutely brilliant night and we’ll be cheering them on from Greece! 🇬🇷💚
