This is not a concept. It is a car being built.

Audacious exists because some of us still believe the best cars are not defined by screens, software or theatre.

They are defined by structure.
By proportion.
By mechanical depth.
By the feeling that car and driver are working together - and that driving should still feel physical. Mechanical. Human.

Built around the complete B7 RS4 structural and mechanical package, then pushed further. Supercharged. Lightened. Hand built. The car carries the original idea forward with modern engineering, real driver focus and genuine analogue depth. The performance shown is the first expression of what this foundation allows.

As Audacious moves toward final surface resolution for the current commission and future carbon fibre body development, the digital model shown here is being developed with Ronch3D Studio, led by Guillermo Labad.

Built in Great Britain for people who still want a car to feel alive.
Because some things are worth doing properly.

Engineered without compromise.

Handbuilt around a modern mechanical four wheel drive architecture.

Bonnet volume, cooling provision, surface relationships and overall proportion are being shaped against the real dimensional requirements of the supercharged V8 installation and the underlying RS4 structural architecture.

In parallel, the visual development of the programme continues with automotive artist Ivan Levko as Audacious moves toward the most accurate 3D representation yet of the finished car.

That model will define the final form of this commission in full, while also supporting the refinement of future commissions developed around the same core architectural package, and forming the basis for the first carbon fibre elements to follow.

Analogue. Mechanical. Coachbuilt.
Defined by architecture.

The process remains methodical.

First, the platform is defined dimensionally and mechanically.
The body is then developed within those parameters.
Only after that does the final design language begin to emerge.

The styling direction of this client commission continues to resolve around the underlying RS4 structural and mechanical architecture beneath; a repeatable dimensional foundation engineered to support a limited number of subsequent cars, each developed within the same core package and individually specified through finish, interior, detail, colour, trim and selected mechanical calibration.

This is also why the current bonnet and front body evolution matters. The metalwork is not being shaped in isolation but resolved against the real package beneath, including the supercharger installation, cooling requirements, proportions and surface language of the finished car.

The result is a road going grand tourer with historic influence, created through a coachbuilt philosophy and conceived from the outset as a fully integrated platform.

In parallel with the ongoing engineering and body development, automotive artist Ivan Levko is working with Audacious to further refine the visual direction of the programme as it moves toward a complete 3D model.

That model will define the finished car in full and form the basis for future carbon fibre construction, aerodynamic refinement and subsequent commission studies around the same core architectural package.

This is where the architecture settles and the external design comes to the fore.

The development of the internal and external rear structures on both sides establishes a repeatable method of integrating the RS4 platform beneath the original design language - an approach intended to support future vehicles within the programme, while each car remains unique in its own right.

For this commission, it defines the transition into carbon fibre elements: rear bumper, diffuser, wing and cooling architecture, all derived from the structure now in place.

The next phase will make that visible.

For those attending Salon Privé London this week, it would be a pleasure to discuss the direction of Audacious in person.

This programme is carrying the quattro idea into very different territory - not as nostalgia, but as something deeper, more resolved and more ambitious. With each phase, the finished cars come into sharper focus.

The rear of the car is becoming unmistakably Audacious.

With the internal wheel arch architecture now largely developed and the left hand side metalwork progressing, this commissioned car is getting closer to the point at which the first carbon fibre elements can begin to be engineered, before the bodyshell eventually returns to the jig for final metal surfacing and dimensional checks.

From this angle, you may already be able to picture the planned routing of the ducting architecture for the rear mounted radiators - one of the measures taken to further improve the weight distribution of the RS4 platform beneath.

The Audacious marque has now taken physical form.

Integrated here within the first wheel centre cap prototype, it marks the small but important point at which the identity begins to move from graphic language into component form.
There is still considerable refinement to come, certainly, but the foundation is now beginning to emerge.

In the meantime, progress on mirroring the outer panels and underlying architecture onto the left hand side of this commissioned car continues well.

Soon, we will see the car grow into its full designed width, with the bodywork progressively enveloping the RS4 architecture beneath.

We like to share raw, in progress imagery because it shows the car development reality as it is, openly and without distraction.

This week, that means taking a quick look at the rear inner wheel arch architecture.

These handmade panels form an integral part of the platform modification itself, defining structure, clearances and shape beneath the surface through an OEM derived design, adapted to suit the wide body.

The key point is that the original inner RS4 surfaces are not symmetrical, largely because of the fuel tank location, so while the inner structure differs from side to side, the outer surfacing of the finished car must not.

Only once both sides are fabricated to this level can the next phase begin, where the detail work becomes critical: finalising all the metal surfaces, defining all the panel edges and integrating the carbon fibre mounting architecture.

The Audacious development features in this week’s Autocar.

The article discusses the engineering philosophy behind the programme - particularly the integration of B7 RS4 platform and the goal of creating a modern analogue interpretation of the original concept.

For those following the project here, the article gives a deeper look at the thinking behind the car.

This week, only the real car & progress. No renders.

The right side hand formed outer panels have moved from sectional mockups to complete welded assemblies, now unified as full, removable structures.
Still a long way from finished, but the direction is becoming clear.

The challenge isn’t adding aggression.
It’s evolving Group B DNA for the modern road, without turning it into parody.
