Seems like a long time ago now since I had this kitt in my garage. This will always be a special car to me as I built most of it during the 2020 lockdown on my driveway. I was spending 6 hours a day on him it was brilliant 😁 and now we are doing it all over again except this time I'm having to squeeze it in in between my work 😁

Many people have asked me over the years how I keep my patients and determination during the build of these cars. I will be honest, it's tough and really hard at times especially when you have to earn the money as you go to pay for the build but at the end of the day these builds will always be special to me so it kind of helps you to keep pushing forwards even when you do drive into your garage door and damage a fresh paint job 😂🙄

When he's finished next spring and I take him for a spin through the country side listening to some 80's music all the years of hard work would have all been worth it 😁

Next update video will be coming in the next couple of weeks. I'm currently working on the interior electrics and fitting the scanner 👍

The mobility scooter project is becoming one of my most popular videos on my channel and I've had lots of messages & comments over the last 6 months asking when part 2 is coming out.

As you know, I'm busy getting kitt finished right now but I'm going to try and fit in doing the part 2 of this but I have a couple of things I can't decide on.

Firstly, this thing will be way faster than the stock mobility scooters which are around 6 - 10mph. This thing should be good for approx 25 - 40mph just depends on what motor kit I decide to buy and what sort of battery.

The thing I can't decide on is should I use the stock wheels? so it still looks completely normal?

Or put on on slightly more chunky wheels?

I may try it off road and if that's the case the bigger wheels will be better.

The wheels will probably be some atv wheels off a quad or something..

Another thing I will have to do is make the frame stronger so I will have to add to the chassis to make it much stronger as I don't want to be doing 25mph and the thing snaps in half lol.

After fitting the new heater core I finally got round to spending a couple of hours on him getting him up to temperature to get the coolant flowing 👍

🚗 Quick update on the kitt project. The new heater core has now been replaced so the next job is to start sorting the electrics out and get all cabling tidy. Fog lights, scanner, kitt main dash, upper console, lower console, speakers, turbine, and some of the other kitt gadgets that I will be installing too. We are going to have a system on the boot floor where we can run everything.

While we are doing all this cabling I will do a few other odd jobs too. Fitting new drivers window, re fitting wing mirrors, getting t-bar glass all fitting perfectly and rubbers and seals all stuck into place.

Then I can think about buying the main kitt dashboard and consoles and electronics.

By Christmas I'm aiming to start building the new kitt dashboard and consoles. Then from February to April it gives me a few months to iron out any issues and do any remainder jobs left on kitt.

My aim is to have him ready for his first show by May next year

🛻 Wheels festival in Great Yarmouth this weekend if any of you are going. I was hoping to have kitt there this year but not quite ready so he will be 100% all good for next years wheel festival for sure. I will be walking around today and tomorrow seeing what's about. It's normally a great weekend full of modified cars, bikes, quads, race cars, classic cars, movie cars and lots of random & whacky other stuff. Suns out so lovely weather for it 😁👍☀☀☀
