One the of the most helpful Edits features that I want you to know about!

‘Show Guides’ allows us to see exactly where Instagram is going to cut off any text that we might be using on the screen.

It really is as simple as clicking your finders to turn it on…

Here’s how👇

When you are in a project in Edits head to the top left of your screen where it says ‘new project’ or what you have named the project (bonus points for this 😉).

Tap the arrow which will open up a menu and head to project settings. Look for ‘show guides’ and make sure this is toggled on (it will be green).

Once on you will see some subtle faded out yellow areas where you text wouldn’t be seen if placed.

At the moment this needs to be set for every project (completely worth it IMO) but I’m hoping Insta may come up with a way that it can be preset 🤞

If you are seeing this whilst away enjoying some sunshine and chill (amazing!) hit save so you can have it waiting for you when you get back to work mode 😊

1. Running our first ever Claire & Hester | Content Specialists | Workshops 📸 reset day with Hester | Brand Photographer Surrey at the gorgeous Kilnhanger Yoga Studio & Retreat Centre. Thank you to all the amazing women who joined us and made the day so special.

2. Working with the inspiring Liz Hauck at her gorgeous studio.

3. Hanging out with my gorgeous nieces for 2 whole weeks at Auntie Claire’s summer camp 😍

LOTS of useful Insta newness this summer 😎

Here’s a round up of everything you need to know - I’m not a fan of Instagram’s ‘paying to play’ features but wanted to share a little bit of info here incase you were wondering what the prompts you might be seeing were… would love to know your thoughts or if you are signing up to give it a go.

Video carousels and photo comments are definitely worth testing with your audience (and are both great engagement boosters).

As always shout if you have any questions - if you are still in summer mode hit the save ribbon to have it ready for when you are 😊
