No really, who said suits were the way to go? 🤭😬
The core belief that is literally engraved in our souls at this point is that in order to be taken seriously, you need to be constantly switched on, polished, serious, hustling and just visibly working every hour god gave you & absolutely not having any amount of fun 🫦
But nobody sits down and just BELIEVES that; it gets absorbed.
Girls get told from young that being ‘good’ means being quiet, composed, not too much, don’t draw attention.. and that same conditioning shows up later dressed as professionalism: don’t rest, don’t be silly, don’t show your flaws, or people won’t respect you or take you serious..
Same rules, now they’re just wearing a suit 🥲
But, the cost of buying into this belief splits women in two.. they become the ‘serious professional biz woman’ online and the actual person underneath who is fun, has cutesy hobbies and wants her biz to feel fun is HIDDEN. Locked away in a under stairs cupboard never to see the light of day ❤️🩹
And that’s bullsh*t.
EVERY part of you deserves to be seen & taken seriously and some people won’t get that, but do you know what? YOUR people WILL get that & that’s the whole point 🫱🏼🫲🏻
You can be fiercely human, silly & do a happy dance every time you take a sip from your iced coffee AND you can still out earn every man in your old job & be the breadwinner 🫦
So here’s to being a little bit less serious, a little bit more fun together 👽
Ps, suits are s**t. Pass it on x
