Guess who’s back… the Post Office Queen! 👑
We’re thrilled to welcome Sue back to where she truly belongs behind the post office counter.

Please be patient with Sue as she settles back in after her injury, she may need a little help with your parcels. Thank you in advance for your kindness and support.

Dare we mention the C-word? 😅
Christmas is coming. Over the next few weeks, festive stock will be arriving in the shop from wrap and cards to Christmas planters, houseplants, and even fresh mistletoe.

You may have noticed our lovely window display, created by our wonderful Sue and her husband Mark! 🐾 We were asked to bring Jess the Cat back to the window, and Sue certainly delivered all whilst her arm is in a sling 🌟

It’s now half-term, time for our children to get ready for some trick-or-treating fun 🎃
We are selling some ready made treat bags, Cadbury treat size bags along with some small hairbo’s for any spooky visitors you may have next week.

We will be welcoming any children who are dressed up visiting the shop between 3–5pm next Friday you will receive a little treat bag for your efforts on us

If you’re a regular with us, you’ll know that our Sue has fractured her shoulder and has been off work for nearly three weeks now. She's missed not just for her hard work, but also for her witty sense of humour, which always brightens the day.

Sue, we all wish you a speedy recovery and hope to see you back behind the counter very soon!

But we’re not the only ones who miss Sue. We wanted to shine a little spotlight on a kind, thoughtful young man – Anay.

Anay has built a lovely friendship with Sue through his frequent visits to the Post Office more than most 9-year-olds. He has an impressive pen pal collection and sends creative, handmade items to royalty (yes really!). He even received a response from King Charles himself. Most recently Anay wrote a letter to Keir Starmer, sharing his thoughts on how the country is being run.

Anay we salute you, first for your kindness in sending some get well gifts to Sue, and second for your honesty in telling the Prime Minister what many of us are thinking.

We can’t quite relate to these cards anymore… especially now the nights are drawing in darker and the seasons are shifting.

Thank you so much for thinking of us when you need a greeting card — it’s always really appreciated when you choose one of ours 💛

🌸 It’s also the last of the fresh flowers for this year — they’ll be back next spring!
Thank you to every one of you who picked up a bunch this season. We’re now looking into houseplants for the winter months 🪴 (Stay tuned.)

We’re firm believers that kindness is contagious and it’s stories like these that remind us just how powerful a single act of kindness can be.

We’ve absolutely loved hearing about the kindness you show to others, and to us. So, we’ve decided to start sharing special kindness moments as they come our way.

This one truly touched our hearts.

A lovely lady recently called the store to ask if we sold Jiffy bag she needed to post a wedding dress. Naturally we assumed she was selling her own dress. But when she came in the next day, we learned the real reason, she was sending it to someone in end-of-life care, so they could enjoy a special moment in something beautiful.

How wonderful is that ❤️

This woman, a mum of two young children who no doubt has her hands full still made time to brighten a stranger’s day in the most meaningful way.

She is not only stunning on the outside, but radiates beauty from within. We just want to say we think you’re amazing. Your children are watching—and what a beautiful example you're setting. 💛
