☀️𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗽-𝗶𝗻𝘀!

During the school summer holidays school nursing will be running a school nurse drop-in from Middleton Grange Family Hub.

The sessions will be held 1pm until 5pm on 31st July, 7th August, 14th August, 21st August, 28th August.

Please come along if your a teen or parent of a teen for confidential and professional support on a wide range of issues.

Rachael from the engagement team has been in Greatham village today doing more Plan for Neighbourhoods surveys supported by Nancy from The Salaam Community Centre - Poolie Time Exchange.
We had a lovely afternoon chatting to lots of residents.
Big thank you to everyone that took the time to fill one in and chat to us both today.
Special thanks to Jayne from the Bull & Dog Greatham for allowing us to call this lovely community space home for the afternoon.

There’s still time to submit your work for the Northern Summer Exhibition 2025 🍧

The Summer exhibition at Central Hub is looking for submissions of artwork focusing on the wonderful northern Summer including photos, paintings or prints of your favourite sunny memories! 🌞

📍The exhibition will be displayed 1 - 29 August in Community Hub Central, York Road Hartlepool TS26 9DE.

🌟 Community Champion Spotlight: Dawn Robinson 🌟

We’re incredibly proud to shine a light on the amazing work of Dawn Robinson, whose passion and dedication is making a real difference for older residents in the Victoria Ward.

Over the past two years, Dawn has helped combat isolation and build stronger community connections by:

🤝 Partnering with local housing associations like Anchor Housing and Thirteen Group to provide weekly visits to elderly residents
💬 Offering companionship, guidance, and links to vital support services
🎨 Hosting craft sessions with local artists like Louise Robinson, Fiona Marston, Jill Barrett & Vicky Jackson
🎭 Collaborating with SYMO on a creative initiative across 10 elderly homes
🛡️ Teaming up with Carrieanne Wilford from Newcastle Building Society to lead Cyber Fraud Awareness sessions
🫂Supporting numerous events through intergenerational activities
📖 And continuing work with St Joseph’s Court Residential for the upcoming Winter-tide Festival, sharing residents’ life stories

Dawn’s tireless efforts and passion are a perfect example of what happens when community spirit, creativity, and compassion come together. 💙

As Juli Simons, Co-Lead Officer at Hartlepool Community Trust, says:

This week and over the summer you may see our team for Victoria Ward Community Engagement out and about at different events across hartlepool in some lovely bright new tshirts with QR codes on the back.

We are currently working to have as many conversations and fill in surveys with residents to find out what 'your plan for neighbourhoods' looks like.

We want honest opinions and please be specific on areas you would like to change or not by naming points of reference that can help us understand your ideas and feedback.
