WORD AT WAINSGATE – POETRY

Our first WORD AT WAINSGATE event a couple of weeks ago was a packed house – full of connection, humour, and beautiful writing. Now we’re back on Sunday 27 July with another brilliant double bill of acclaimed poets: Jason Allen-Paisant and John McAuliffe.

Jason’s award-winning poetry moves through place, memory, and identity with power and precision. John’s poems are sharp, lyrical and quietly subversive. It’s a real privilege to host them both in the chapel.

Plan a visit to YSP to discover The Pull of Gravity by acclaimed South African artists William Kentridge. The exhibition includes over 40 works displayed in the Underground Gallery and surrounding gardens, including a selection of the artist’s sculpture across different scales and media, including bronze, steel, paper, cardboard, plaster, wood and found objects.
