Easy casual outfits are always going to be my faves!

And I love this top from I think I have a thing for red at the moment!

It’s a cropped knit with the perfect fitted waist which means it’s perfect on my petite 5’1 frame, worn with the waist on show or like I have here, and it stays in place! Have to thank for showing me this one!

Jeans are also from and I love them who knew a carrot style would be the ones for me! Slimmer than a barrel so absolutely perfect if you don’t get on with that style!

So my body has changed SO much in the last year and I barely recognise it some days, I mean I know its my body but it’s doing things its never done before 😆

Feels like I’ve developed a rectangle for a middle, my waist and hips seem to expanding by the week and it all can feel a bit much can’t it?

BUT, and this is important, I am working on accepting it and clearing out my wardrobe and only keeping things that actually make me feel good and work on my shape right now has been like a breath of fresh air, I had to be super brutal but its made getting dressed feel so much less stressful. Most days! I still have the bad ones trust me!

And yes I will be adding new things because we know I love to shop! But everything from here on in will be so much more considered and a much more enjoyable experience I think! Well, it has been so far.

We’re all in this together and some days are better than others but here’s to embracing these brilliant midlife bodies of ours, they are so much more and do so much more than what they look like!

Let me if you can relate, I have a feeling I’m not alone this! ♥️

The wardrobe edit as a 49 year old petite woman continues so here are the jeans that made the cut!

If you’ve been following along you’ll know I’ve been clearing out my wardrobe this summer jeans were the biggest edit of all, I have been brutal about what’s going!

As someone who is 5’1” with a tummy and curves, finding jeans that actually work is not always easy. But these four pairs have absolutely earned their place and I really love all of them!

The Levi’s are a classic I keep going back to, so much so I have them in two washes. The Hush Cordelia barrel legs are SO comfortable. And both the Levi’s and the Abercrombie vintage straight come in waist AND leg length separately which as a petite woman is so helpful. The Amazon ones I took a risk on and they are pretty perfect for a wide leg when you just want a more relaxed vibe!

Now, I am a bit of a jeans addict so Im sure there will be more to come on jeans, I cant resist them and am always on the hunt for the perfect pair!

Try on reel coming very soon so you can see them all on ♥️

A new brand discovery for me! Last week I placed my first ever order I have to say, I’m really impressed 🙌🏼

After clearing out over 60% of my wardrobe this year, I’m trying to be so much more considered about what I purchase, I’m all about not buying things just because I like them on someone else, or I think it will work and more thinking about whether I’ll actually wear them, what I already own that they’ll work with and, most importantly, whether I feel good in them.

This top definitely passed the test 🙌🏼 and I know I can wear it with so many things I already have.

I’m also really interested in trying more from Boden because they have a petite range, which you KNOW I’m always happy to discover!

Have you shopped at before? And if you have, what should I be looking at next? Jeans??

August you have been fun! Minus the heatwave 😂

I’ve loved being outside, enjoying the weather, meeting up with friends, spending time with my gorgeous family & all the yummy lunches I’ve had. I do LOVE a lunch date!

But I’m now really looking forward to Autumn. I feel ready to slow down a bit, read books, light the cosy candles & enjoy the autumn outfits! I know so many of you love summer, but I’m definitely a spring and autumn girlie. I can’t cope with the heat but I do love the vibe!

The last week or so has felt a little bumpy though. I’ve been thinking about my Mum so much. I think about her every day anyway, but the change of seasons always seems to get me for some reason. That’s the rollercoaster of grief, I guess.

I think it’s the little things I wish she was here for. The books I’ve read and the lunches I’ve had that she would have loved. And now a new season is coming, we’d have been sending each other outfit pics or going shopping together. Just all those little things we used to talk about and enjoy. Yeah, it’s hard sometimes. ❤️

And now Autumn is coming! How’s your summer been? Are you looking forward to Autumn? I always feel like September is a fresh start, probably why I suddenly want to declutter my entire house! 😅

9 months in! 💇🏼‍♀️

I started thinking about growing out my silvers when I was 44, back then I was already fed up with the constant colouring of my hair..

I used to go from brown to blonde and back round again until I couldn’t have brown anymore as the roots came through literally after a week!! So blonde it was, and it went blonder and blonder and just got more wrecked along the way.

So here we are, I’m finally doing it! Growing out my silvers and seeing who I am underneath all the colour and I have found it all a bit exciting, as well as having some days where I think I look awful with it 😂 ups and downs and swings and roundabouts!

I think there is something empowering about it and I just felt ready, after years of debating I decided now is the time!

The products I’ve been using along the way have been recommendations from others and I genuinely love these ones and have repurchased them again, but if you have any more let me know - I LOVE A PRODUCT!! 😍
