Our God, the intelligent gardener!

A gardener sets out with their secateurs and wastage bag, slowly they adjust each area of the garden, taking away all the overgrown foliage, weeds and dead leaves, pruning back where required and setting out a plan for the ordering of seeds! This is winter season!

As he attends to you with his unconditional love, (Agape) what he strips away in one season is for your glory in another, the gardener does not attend all year round to do the same job, different season requires different jobs, winter season is a season of refining, a season for preparation and getting ready for renewal! What is set out in this season often determines your glory in the next!

If you let God do his work in one season, he will build you up from the chief corner stone, ready for Glory in the next season.

As we near the end of August, autumn and winter become clear on the horizon! A season is ending, but a new one is beginning! How glorious is our God, he defined our journeys for us so see the steadiness of his hands at work!

Don’t be afraid to step out of one season and into another, “for God did not give us a spirit of fear but one of power, love and self control” (2 Timothy 1:7 ESV)

Our role to participate in part with His Kingdom is to have Faith. Let the intelligent Gardener do his work His end, and drench ourselves in faithfulness our end! Give way to the ways of the world and soak ourselves in worship and prayer, giving thanks in all season for there is His intelligent hand at work!

The greatest author, is also the intelligent gardener!

May the Lord bless you abundantly with rivers of eternal life!

I was once told that the Bible was written by man,
but this very person “believed” in a higher power just not the Bible, “the Bible wouldn’t have had the power to change me” he said.

“But I definitely believe in a higher power” , he said to affirm his position.

The recognition of a higher power was strong, such so it left no room for interpretation other than something had occurred significantly enough in this man’s life for him to see the power move favourably for him. It would have left him without a doubt that this wasn’t just luck, or coincidence. It was an “ahha” moment to recognise the higher power at play in his life. The evidence from the conversation was that it was on more than one occasion.

For me it is clear, this is God’s grace and work. Leaving us breadcrumbs to lead the way back to him, to give him all the Glory and name him. The name we know as all powerful and above all names, Jesus.

God doesn’t mind us calling him a higher power for a time, and he will keep knocking on the door for you to fully embrace him, to let him in and come to know him. To come to know Jesus as your Lord and saviour. If he can give you all this grace and favour without you fully recognising him, can you imagine what he will do when you turn to honour Him, in full surrender and love.

I don’t know, but once you do, maybe with all the power he had for you to slowly turn to recognise Him, all the times he gave you the breadcrumbs of favourable outcomes, enough for you to say “wow”there’s something higher at play here, maybe that Divine power might just extend to a pen, a pen which writes the divine inspiration of Gods words.

If he’s powerful enough to show you circumstances can change, he’s powerful enough to lead you to writing a book.

As the greatest author, I particularly like Gods first works, the Bible.

I have no certainty of what is next to come in this life, the only certainty I have is that of Faith.
And through Faith are all my needs met.

And not even that knowledge was mine, but it was given to me through grace.

I owe everything to Jesus, but I can give nothing of value in this world, only Faith, and I tell you once more, not even that was mine, but His gift to me.

I love to bring Glory to the name of Jesus,

But truthfully, my goal is for YOU to have the experience of his Love and Peace.

Jesus has commissioned us to spread the good news of the Gospel……

Some will scoff at this…. Your lives are full and complete, there is nothing more for you to know in this life! 🤷‍♂️

Honestly, Jesus saved my life. His promise of salvation reached me in my hour of need on March 16th 2024! My cries went on to heaven and he spoke to me.
Every bit strength and grip of will power I assumed to use as a leverage to change my own life failed, God wasn’t letting me suffer, God was letting me get tired. I knew more than him didn’t I …… until I didn’t! 😭😭

Tears of desperation, tears of frustration, annoyance, anger and hate! All flowing up to heaven under a great sound of alert, my time had come. The great pain of rebirth! (John 3: 5)

“Go to God, Go to God, Go to God” , The “voice” said to me.

I was tired, I was in pain mentally and emotionally! I had enough! But the instructions were clear and I was ready to listen.

Once the king steps in, his grace and mercy offering forgiveness for past failures and mistakes, salvation through faith is attained.

The good news, you’re already Saved, you’re already free.

Sometimes we just struggle on in our own efforts to attain a freedom we are seeking without the knowledge of who grants this, it is Jesus. It’s not YOU and your efforts.

And he tell us this, “I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the father except through me” (John 14:6)

Jesus paid a price for YOU! Come to know him. There is so much more to know.

Morning prayer, a time to set your direction.

Take time to give thanks and praise, for this is the day the Lord has made, be glad and rejoice in it.

My Lord I want to thank you before my day begins, I want you to be the first purpose of my day, and in all my ways I shall give thanks and praise to you.

As I ponder on what the day holds, I am reminded by your words for us not to strive, not to be troubled, not to have fear, but to be full of faith.

For you have not given us a spirit of fear, but one of faith, love and self control.

Through faith alone is a salvation given, through faith alone do we meet with the obstacles of our day, and we are reminded, that with faith as small as a mustard seed, if we say to the mountain move into the sea we shall see our faith fulfilled.
No obstacle is too great for you Lord.

For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power, and our power is amplified by our faith in you Lord.

We are rich in our heritage for we have a place in the kingdom of heaven paid in full by your sacrifice on the the cross, lead me through this day Lord, for your will shall be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Knowing the point of respect in a man’s life, (from boy to a man) knowing you have that respect for your opinion, your word, your education and views. Knowing you stand tall and respected!

What does the letter to Galatians in the Bible teach us on this?

Galatian’s teaches us there is nothing more we are required to do in our own sheer effort, the legalism of Mosaic law has passed, and Jesus has fulfilled everything on the cross for our spiritual liberty.
As we accept Jesus into our lives, which has a heritage liberty placed within us, the Holy Spirit, and through this alone is our lives now lead.

When Paul is talking in the letter to Galatians, he is reminding them the power of the flesh to deceive us, and that our power is through the Holy Spirit and the work of God alone. We should not be deceived into striving for “works” to have deliverance, we are already delivered and the price has been paid for on the cross. You have accepted Christ as your Lord, king and saviour and no amount of “works” (more work through the religious rituals / legalism) can save you!

Therefore the process of sanctification in you is both achieved and being achieved as you live through Jesus (I am the way, the truth and the life, no one comes to the father accept through me)

So….. know this, you are loved. Which is the highest form of respect any man can have bestowed upon him. And you are loved by the most Holy and righteous one. Jesus.

It is through Jesus alone that we should find our identity, and through the process of sanctification which is our continual journey to walk with him in surrender, to be more like him, are we given the title of Children.

Children of the most high, a king with a kingdom we must begin to walk with spiritual liberty He has placed within us. And it is only through him should we find judgement, least should we be judging ourselves.

If we have been accepted by him, take on the spirit of long suffering and self control, and know that you are respected by the most high, and that is sufficient enough. Man’s opinion and accolades we cease and fall away.

Identity through Jesus, and nothing falls away, as our life through him is eternal.

You are already delivered, you are already respected!

Let’s soak this in for a few minutes…. Take ear (listen deeply)

In 1407 in England the Oxford constitution declared there would be no reprinting of scripture into English! A public banning of the Bible!

Why??

The truth shall set you free, and that truth is Jesus.

If the story of Jesus and scripture are withheld for only a select few to speak and teach on, the middle man has control of what is said and how it is delivered.

Power is taken away from you…..

Thankfully just over a hundred years after this, a man comes along with the courage to begin printing the Bible from Latin into English and placing it into the hands of the everyday man!

William Tyndale.

The word of god was now being printed in English for the everyday man to read and understand. They were smuggled (The Bible) from abroad into England, what an effort for the times, transport wasn’t what it is today so you can only imagine the sheer feet of the mission, and a mission worth putting your life on the line for!

But this was still a punishable crime at the time, and for this he was strangled and burned at the stake in Vilvoorde.

A Christian man, devout to Gods word, to bring the “good news” to the nations, his beloved England, was punished in the worst possible way.
Today we take for granted what is now readily available to us.

Men, not just Tyndale suffered in their pursuit for the truth to set others free.

Now we bask ourselves in so much distractions, the world and all its noise, that we don’t even need to hide the spiritual truth that sets you free anymore, we will fully look past the Bible, the community church, the street preacher and the Good Samaritan on the street!

The Bible can be given to you, already translated ready for you to read in your own language, to finally understand meaning and purpose of this life, and you will put it out of sight.

The world and all its pleasures have its power over you now, distraction has been placed all around you.

Tyndale would wonder……. What did I do this for! Why did I die in my pursuit.

I’m not telling you to come to me to know the Bible, I’m telling you the Bible is already there for you to know the truth…… come to me or go to someone who understands more for a better sense of the word at the beginning yes, but go read the Bible for yourself just as Tyndale intended.

The power of God’s word in the everyday man’s hands because of his efforts! The power of God’s word in YOUR hands!

At some point in our lives, the questions comes to us! Why am here? What is this all about!

God is nudging you…… wake up!

Why do we have scientists, why do we have mathematicians, poets, writers, Physcians, philosophers, Artists, singers, song writers, actors …… all of these and more!
There is a deep yearning to express meaning to the answers of life. We express to the purpose of “why am I here” even when we haven’t directly asked the question!

But when you do finally ask that question, when life humbles you and hits you side ways, was your house built on the chief cornerstone of life, Jesus!

It should be, and if not, it still can be.

The Bible is there ready for you to read!
