Well… that’s a wrap. ☢️
It’s with a heavy heart that we’re announcing the difficult decision to discontinue Nuke Fam Records. As a result, we’ll be selling off our remaining stock at heavily reduced prices. Don’t worry - all of our artists were paid from the start, so the only ones taking a loss here are us. ✌️
Between supporting our families and pursuing personal paths, the reality is that running the label is no longer sustainable. We haven’t been able to reach a large enough audience to justify the cost of high quality physical releases - which has always been at the heart of what we do. Lately, every opportunity has come with too much risk, especially with declining sales in inderpendent records worldwide. Whether it’s changing habits, increased competition, or the dominance of streaming, social media and AI, the landscape has shifted and we can't keep up. Without significant investment in promotion, growth just isn’t possible - and with already slim margins from small runs and fair artist pay, the model simply doesn’t work, as much as we wish it could. 😞
Although we have made quite a name for ourselves, in the famous words of Blade "How you gonna feed your family with respect?". Bottom line, it’s a massive investment of time and money for minimal return. While that’s never been our focus - it's always been all about the music and the love of it - it’s started to take a toll on our personal lives, and family has to come first. 💯
As artists we’ll never stop creating, performing, and releasing music when the opportunity comes, but it’s time to step aside from the label and allow the next generation to take to the spotlight. Being part of this has been an incredible experience and our proudest achivement to date. The memories, lessons learnt and music will stay with us forever. Now, we’re looking ahead to a simpler life, mostly offline, with our friends and families at the centre of it all. ❤️
A massive 'thank you' to anyone who ever supported us over the years. A massive 'f**k you' to anyone who didn't. We’ll miss this, but we'll still be around for those with their ear to the ground... 👀
