Below, Tagsa Uibhist have put together a list of resources you can access and people you can talk to.

Caraidean Uibhist, based in the UCVO building, also have staff trained to assist you and direct you to help if you feel you need it.

Please make use of these local resources and know that you are never alone.

Breathing Space is a free, confidential phone and web based service for people in Scotland experiencing low mood, depression or anxiety.

Music can be a lifeline for people living with dementia so working with a meaningful, personalised playlist for life can bring huge benefits and joy.

To find out more about this, you are welcome to come and celebrate National Playlist Day with Rosie from Tagsa Uibhist and Mags from Caraidean Uibhist SCIO from 12-2 at the UCVO building with a buffet and tea/coffee being served - we hope to see you there on Friday the 19th of September!

Survey Time- Have your say on the Sound of Barra Ferry Service

To support the development of its Islands Connectivity Plan, Transport Scotland is undertaking research to inform the future level of service provision on Clyde and Hebrides across Sound of Barra.

This survey will be used to collect information on how the route is used and to gather views on the impacts of the options around future services.

🚍 Important Travel Update for EDF Festival Attendees – CalMac Mallaig–Oban Bus Service 🚢

Sunday 27 & Monday 28 July

To support customers attending Eilean Dorcha Festival, and due to ongoing vessel disruptions, CalMac is arranging a bus service between Mallaig and Oban on:

📅 Sunday 27 July
📅 Monday 28 July

This bus is intended for foot passengers who left their vehicles in Oban when travelling out to Lochboisdale.

➡️ If you require this service, please contact the Mallaig Port Office as soon as possible:

🕓 Deadline to request the bus is Thursday 24 July – if there are no confirmed requests by then, the service will not operate.
