We're starting Day 4 with some more new faces joining our ranks! 🥾

Catherine caught up with the new recruits this morning: Bogusia Gruszka from Prima Uno Limited, Emma Graham from HOCHTIEF (UK) Construction Ltd and her son Ollie, Catherine’s good friend Mike, and Always Another Way Trustee Kathy.

Our legs are ready to take on another rainy day in Cumbria, but we're not letting the weather put us off!

Onwards and upwards - the team has just over 16 miles to cover today to arrive in Caldbeck this evening. 💪

While out in the wilds yesterday, Catherine caught up with Liberal Cumbria Mayoral Candidate Libby Bateman to find out why she’s getting involved in the Britain's Energy Coast Business Cluster Challenge, and why supporting mental health across Cumbria is something she feels so passionately about. 💚

It was great to hear Libby’s perspective on the importance of making sure people across our communities can access the right support when they need it, and to share the importance of the work that Always Another Way do, especially in early intervention.

A huge thank you to Cyclife UK for sponsoring today’s leg of the Britain's Energy Coast Business Cluster Always Another Cumbria Way challenge ...and for getting involved in the challenge alongside us! 💚

Catherine caught up with Mark Davies as they walked through the Borrowdale Valley this afternoon to find out what inspired the Cyclife team to sponsor and take part in the challenge.

We also welcomed 11 members of the Cyclife team today, who were an amazing bunch of people, and another four are pulling their walking boots on and joining us for tomorrow’s stretch.

It’s great to have businesses support the challenge, sharing the Always Another Way story and helping us raise awareness of the incredible support they provide.

We'd also like to thank AXIOM Joint Venture for funding our ability to provide on-the-road updates like this to help share our story - thank you!

Day 3 – and we’re off again! 🥾

This morning, Catherine caught up with Zelda Wilson, who has joined us on the walk all the way from Warwickshire.

Zelda is taking on the challenge despite undergoing chemotherapy, using the walk to give her focus, something positive to work towards and a reason to keep pushing forward.

What a strong, brave and inspiring lady. 💚

Today’s challenge is our longest yet... it's 18.4 miles into Keswick - wish us luck!

One of the best parts of taking on the Cumbria Way has been meeting other people along the route, swapping stories, sharing the experience and - of course - making a few new friends along the way! 🥰

Catherine has been busy spreading the word about Always Another Way, sharing why we're doing what we're doing and helping more people understand the vital work they do here in West Cumbria. 💙
