Leslie Thurland cut the Ribbon at the Poppies centre in Britannia Road, Leslie and her late husband had worked tirelessly to negotiate the use of the former Maplefields School sports hall into a community hall and with the generosity of the building owner and a working group of local people, truly a self help success.

I attach a photo of Leslie with Bouquet in front of the memorial plaque to her husband.
