Cancer patients being treated at The QEH are just weeks away from returning to a transformed Macmillan Cancer Care and Treatment Centre, where a brighter, more welcoming and practical environment is taking shape following an eight-week refurbishment.

The £255,000 major renovation is being delivered thanks to the extraordinary fundraising of the late Gavin English, charity supporters and partner charities as well as the hospital’s own QEHKL Charity.

Headteacher Nigel Willingham praised the achievement, describing the results as a true reflection of the hard work and commitment shown by this year’s students

Staff and students at Hunstanton’s Smithdon High School have been celebrating today after receiving their GCSE results.

The Class of 2025 has overcome many challenges throughout their education to achieve strong outcomes, paving the way for their next steps.

Students are now set to progress onto a wide range of pathways, including A Levels, college courses, and apprenticeships.

A series of free summer events are being held on the West Norfolk coast for both residents and visitors.

The borough council has confirmed more things will be happening in Hunstanton which will not cost a penny.

This includes free weekday family activities from pebble painting to performances by Strange Fascination Theatre

The Green will also be hosting free performances with:

Battle of the Bands – Saturday, 23 August

Beats on the Beach – Sunday, 24 August, featuring DJ L.I.AM, The Fascinettes, and headliners Wild Boys
