There’s something about watching your sons grow that hits you right in the heart.

One day they’re small enough to carry on your shoulders, laughing as the world flies by. The next, their feet are almost as big as yours, their voices deeper, and their dreams starting to stretch far beyond the backyard.

I’ve learned that the greatest privilege isn’t in the big milestones — it’s in the quiet, ordinary moments: throwing a ball until the sun goes down, listening to their wild stories at bedtime, sitting together in comfortable silence, or hearing them say “Dad, watch this!” for the hundredth time.

Time doesn’t slow down for anyone, but these days with my boys remind me what really matters. I’m not perfect, but I’m present. I’m soaking it in. I’m building memories that I hope will stay with them long after they’re grown and raising sons of their own.

If you still have little ones running around — hold them a little tighter tonight. If yours are older — call them, text them, show up. The days are long, but the years are so short.

Nothing in this world compares to being their dad. ❤️
