Our new HQ isn’t just about bringing our people together – it’s about investing in the facilities that keep Collins moving. 🚛

As our transport fleet continues to grow and diversify, our maintenance capabilities are growing with it.

Our new purpose-built workshop represents 𝗮 𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆, 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗳𝗹𝗲𝗲𝘁, giving our maintenance team the space and equipment to keep our vehicles maintained to high standards while helping reduce downtime.

Last week, we revealed the exterior of our new Collins group of companies HQ. Now, it’s time to take a look inside. 👀

Our continued reinvestment in the business has created a new working environment designed around 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸.

🏗️ Contemporary design, exposed structural elements, open spaces and plenty of natural light bring our new home to life.

But one of the biggest changes is bringing departments previously based across separate buildings 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗳– giving our teams more opportunities to communicate, collaborate and work alongside one another.

☕With new breakout areas, conference rooms and a reception space designed to welcome visitors and host company events, our new HQ is about much more than a new office.

It’s an investment in 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀.

🚧 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗝𝗘𝗖𝗧 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 | 𝗡𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗛 𝗛𝗬𝗞𝗘𝗛𝗔𝗠 𝗥𝗘𝗟𝗜𝗘𝗙 𝗥𝗢𝗔𝗗

A major three-year earthworks programme is underway in Lincolnshire, where our teams are working alongside Balfour Beatty to help deliver the North Hykeham Relief Road.

The new 8km dual carriageway will connect the A46 at Hykeham Roundabout with the A15 at Sleaford Road Roundabout, completing a full orbital route around Lincoln.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀:

🌱 320,000m³ topsoil strip
⛰️ 800,000m³ bulk earthworks
🪨 140,000m³ rock breakout & processing
🚛 120,000m³ aggregate import
🌿 136,000m³ topsoiling & landscaping

With large-scale earthmoving operations underway, safety remains at the forefront of delivery. Plant on the project is equipped with Safety Shield Human Form Recognition (HFR) technology, alerting operators when people enter designated zones around machinery.

We’re only a few months in, with plenty more to come as this major infrastructure project takes shape. 👷🚜

After many months of watching our new HQ take shape, we’re proud to finally reveal the exterior of the new Collins group of companies Head Quarters.

From our beginnings as a family business to the group of companies we are today, we have always believed in reinvesting in our business, our people and our future.

Our new home has been created with exactly that in mind – bringing our teams together and creating a modern working environment that will support our people and operations for many years to come.

💙 Before our teams began moving in, close family and friends gathered privately at the new HQ for a particularly special moment – the unveiling of a plaque dedicated to our founder.

A fitting way for the Collins family to mark the beginning of this next chapter and ensure the person who started it all remains at the heart of our new home.

The building may be new, but the values behind it remain the same: family, people, hard work and building for the future.

And this is only the outside… there’s more to come. 👀

🚁 𝗕𝗘𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗦 | 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗔𝗜𝗥 𝗔𝗠𝗕𝗨𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗖𝗘 𝗦𝗘𝗥𝗩𝗜𝗖𝗘

The other week, members of the Collins team had the privilege of visiting The Air Ambulance Service’s Nottingham Air Base for a behind-the-scenes look at their lifesaving operations.

We met the critical care crew on duty – 𝗮 𝗰𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰, 𝗱𝗼𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗼𝘁 – and learnt more about the expertise, teamwork and split-second decisions involved in every mission.

Critical Care Paramedic Stephanie Cook, who also looks after training and development at the base, was fantastic at sharing her knowledge and giving us an insight into what happens from the moment an emergency call comes in.
