Here’s how pre-save links give you the edge:

🤝 Hack the algo: most streaming platforms reward early engagement with your upcoming releases. More pre-saves means more eyeballs on your release, which means better chances of landing editorial playlists

🤝 Hype your fans: give your fans the chance to get pumped about your upcoming release. Pre-saves give your fans a sense of exclusivity and keep them engaged with your journey, making them more likely to support you outside of streaming too

The social media team has handed the mic 🎤 over to me today to give you my top-tips for getting your release approved first-time!

I’m the Quality Assurance Officer here at Identity Music, which means that I review every track that you distribute with us (yes, really - every single one).

When I’m reviewing releases, I’m checking that they’ve got the right metadata, are compliant with the ever-changing platform rules, and are ready to go live. If I spot anything that’s not quite right, I return the release to you for edits before distribution.

If you want your release to pass my review first time, keep on top of these 4 crucial checks before sending the release.

✨Bonus Tip: make sure you’re uploading your release with enough time! We manually review every release and need up to 3 working days to approve distribution ahead of your release going live

Canva makes it SUPER simple to create all the assets you need for your release to thrive on Apple Music.

How? Just follow these 4 steps…

🍎 Step One: search for ‘Apple Music cover art’, ‘Apple Music motion artwork’ or ‘Apple Music artist page’ and choose your template

🍎 Step Two: customise your design! A template’s a great starting point, but put your own creative spin on it to stand out from the crowd

🍎 Step Three: check that all of the important parts of your design are within the safe zones by using Canva’s handy guidelines

🍎 Step Four: download your designs and share them far and wide!
