Circular Road and Bank Road in Larne are currently closed following a road traffic collision.

Police are asking road users to avoid the area and seek an alternative route for their journey.

Yesterday marked the first sailing between the Isle of Man and Larne, officially launching the new route across the Irish Sea.

The arrival in Larne was welcomed by Mid and East Antrim Borough Council Mayor Jackson Minford, along with Captain Daniel Soler Nicholson and representatives from Larne Port and Isle of Man Steam Packet Company.

The new connection is expected to strengthen links between the Isle of Man and Northern Ireland, with hopes for continued growth in passenger and freight travel.

Police are advising the public to avoid the area at this time.
