It is with great pleasure that I.T.H Productions announces its first-ever home media release. With special permission granted, we announce that our 2023 documentary, TUGS: A Bigg Retrospective, is now available to pre-order on a special edition 2-Disc DVD!!

Each DVD contains the film on disc one, with some additional bonus material relating to the film’s production on the bonus disc. Accompanying this will be a 4-page DVD insert, with a selection of behind-the-scenes photos from the original TUGS TV Series.

The film itself comes from the 1080p HD master held in I.T.H’s archives.

Please note that only 100 copies will be available. These DVDs are made in the UK so will be PAL and are Region free.

This release is exempt from BBFC classification.

Hard to believe it's been a whole year since the passing of English actor, voice actor and author; John Baddeley. As many fans of the cult 1980s TV series 'TUGS' will know, he voiced Top Hat, Zip, Puffa, Quarry Master, the Shrimpers and Pirate Tug #2.

John also worked on shows and films, including 'Dennis the Menace' (1996-1998), Starfleet (1980-1981), The Dark Crystal (1982) and voiced Winston Churchill in the TV mini-series; 'Churchill'. His final acting role was in 'Moonraker: The Radio Play' (2018), where he provided the voice of Sir Winston Churchill once again and voiced alongside TUGS co-voice actor, Nigel Anthony.

But there was one forgotten TV series John Baddeley worked on. Produced by Cosgrove Hall in 1997 was the 13-episode animated series, 'Enchanted Lands: The Magic of the Faraway Tree', adapted from Enid Blyton's 'The Faraway Tree' novels. Here is one of these episodes to commemorate Mr. Baddeley's work and you might recognise Top Hat's voice at one point.

38 years ago today, the TUGS episode: 'Ghosts' went into production, with the 'Ghostly Galleon' sequence being the first scene filmed on a 2-day schedule.

One of the photos shows September 12th, 1988, on the Clearwater Periscope System's camera. That date in 1988 was indeed a Monday, so Saturday, September 10th, would have been when Graham Riddell built the Galleon model (the first two photos are of the Galleon in the model workshop).

September 12th, 1988 was when the production crew filmed all the shots with just the Galleon, with September 13th being when all the shots of Ten Cents and Sunshine were filmed respectively.
