11th year of me (celibacy journey 9/25/2014).. I've dated off and on over the last 11 years but with such a disservice to myself, because they were mostly long distance, virtual connections. My grandchildren have never witnessed me in a relationship with a partner. They feel and see I am of Love, and already know the concept of boy-girl dynamic (their choice, not forced). I have been choosing me for so long, I have witnessed the carry on in everything that I do. For instance, I have coached myself into believing that my education for the past 8 years has been my main priority. And no doubt, it has been. The way that I recently showed up for a person who gave me the most pain in my life made me realize that our choices can be made with clarity and emotional intelligence when we are healed. 2 children and 4 grandchildren came from that connection. I honored his life because his legacy came through me, regardless if it wasn't healthy at one point. I made it liveable and functional through my healing. He apologized. I know if I'd found my person, he would have taken that seriously and respected the outcome.
I believe if I had a partner, they'd understand the totality of that because our lives would be interchangeable. The funny thing is I never planned this sacred walk to be this long but it is very intentional. I have always known that my energy doesn't mix well with many. I will never lower my standards, the more that I continue to work on me, I will try and become more opened to the alignment of trueness.
