After all the chaos (and joy!) of the summer holidays, it’s going to be so tempting to just dive wand-first into the new school year...

But before we do, let’s take a lesson from the wizarding world.

When Dumbledore and Harry embarked on their quest to find Voldemort’s Horcrux, they didn’t just set off aimlessly and hope it would miraculously appear…

They had a clear destination in mind, knowing exactly where they needed to go before they could even dream of defeating it.

Just like them, we can’t expect to tackle social media and conjure up amazing content without a clear direction.

So, before September rolls in, let’s take a moment to reconnect with the heart of your business magic.

This isn’t about vanity metrics like gaining followers or collecting likes—it’s about your mission, your why, the reason you ventured into the world of business in the first place.

Grab your quill (or a trusty pen!) and ask yourself:

🪄 What is the ultimate goal for your business?
🪄 What inspired you to set it up?
🪄 What difference do you want your work to make in the lives of others?

By answering these questions, you’re not just creating a list—you’re laying the foundation for a social media strategy that’s not only effective but also genuinely meaningful.

And if you need help with this, The Content Spellbook is your perfect guide.

It’s packed with spells to help you set goals that truly matter, create a plan you feel confident about, and conjure up content that supports your mission every step of the way.

A question for you today: What’s the real 'why' behind your business?

For so many of us, the first answer is: Our kids.

They’re our everything — the reason we breathe, work hard, and get up every morning (literally, when it comes to that dreaded school run 🫠).

As a Mum, that's a sentiment I really admire and relate to.

For me, it's vital the boys see their Mum working hard and contributing to the family home as much as their Dad.

I want them to grow up seeing it as 'normal' to work hard and be ambitious, and I definitely don't want them growing up with any stereotypes about what a woman 'should' be doing.

But here’s the thing… if our only goal was to provide for our kids and show them a strong, independent woman in action, would we really choose to run a business?

Let’s be honest — there are far easier ways to do it!

So whenever I hear this answer from Mum, I feel like I want to probe - because there’s always something more.

Your 'why' isn’t just your reason for being… it’s your reason for being who you are in business.

✨ Why this business?
✨ Why these products or services?
✨ Why do you share your skills, experience, and ideas the way you do?

Underneath it all, your true why often comes down to making a difference in other people’s lives — helping, supporting, and inspiring them.

That’s the part that connects you to your online army, that’s the story they fall in love with, and that's what makes them want to work with you.

And when your content reflects that purpose, you'll find your social media finally feels like it has a purpose, like it’s heading somewhere useful!

Whenever you're struggling with your marketing, these questions are where you need to start.

And that's why one of the very first spells in my Content Spellbook is all about defining your goals and uncovering your 'why'.

With activities to help you dig deep, it’s the foundation for a strategy that actually works.

Summer is the perfect time to think about your mission — and the Spellbook can help you do exactly that.

August is well under way, which means September isn't far behind...

But before we even think about diving wand-first into the new school year, let’s take a moment to recognise something truly magical: you.

Yes, you!

The spellbinding woman balancing work, family, and all of life’s chaos (especially the summer holidays, you're a saint!).

It’s so easy to get swept away in the whirlwind of to-do lists, but this is another reminder from me to press pause.

Because the summer is the perfect time to look back at the year so far and give yourself credit for the things that have gone well.

So, this week, take a look back at the magic you’ve created in your business and recognise just how far you’ve come since this time last year.

✨ The tiny sparks of progress.
✨ The important lessons you've learned.
✨ The moments when you kept going, even when you felt like giving up.

They all deserve recognition (and a standing ovation from me).🪄

And we can use this Spell for your social media, too...

Why not take a quick peek at your stats from the year so far?

See which posts have performed well, which ones brought you joy to create, and which truly connected with your online army.

🪄✨ Oh, and if you’re not sure where to start, The Content Spellbook will walk you through it all, from reviewing your most enchanting posts to creating a content strategy full of wizardry and wonder.

Think of it as your Marauder’s Map for social media success: guiding you, saving you time, helping you stay consistent, and making sure your magic is seen by the people who need it most.

You know that feeling when you’ve just wrapped up the last big job on your list… and you can finally switch off?

Well, that’s me right now ✨

Tonight, I've been chatting about social media and mental health (a passion project of mine, as you'll know)...

But now it's time to power down the laptop and get ready to head down to Cornwall to stay with my family.

I’ve ticked off everything on the to-do list and got my content sorted for the next two weeks, which means I can take some proper time away without feeling like I’m leaving the house elves to cause chaos with my business!

Honestly, it feels like exactly what the doctor ordered after our trip to Scarborough was cut short, and ahead of a busy, exciting September.

The next few weeks will be about sandcastles, sea air, and slow surfing with the boys... with maybe the odd laptop check-in, but only between ice creams and pints of Rattlers!

Because here’s the thing I'm going to keep reminding you… business magic works better when the wizard’s rested.

And September’s spells are going to need a lot of energy.

So I’m giving myself permission to recharge now — and I hope you’re doing the same.

What are your plans for the next few weeks — and have you started thinking about what you want to do in September, when the world speeds up again?

August is the pause before the storm...

Is it messy, snack-filled, and a chaotic? Absolutely.

But it’s quieter (Well, my messages are even if my house isn't!).

Slower (Not missing the school-run pressure and morning chaos).

And it’s also the perfect moment to stop... to get some head space around work and to start again on the things that aren't working so well.

Because here’s what I’ve learned from years of juggling two little humans, running a business, and showing up consistently online:

🌟 Your energy is your most powerful spell, so you have to rest, even when you don't think you can.

🌟 That space you give yourself creates the chance to get creative and come up with ideas that you might otherwise be too stressed or busy for.

🌟 And once you've done all that, you'll feel ready to tackle the world — because September is coming, and it always comes fast.

The summer holidays are full-on.

But they're also this kind of 'in-between' space, where you’re working at full speed, but you’re still thinking, still dreaming, and still wondering what you want things to look like when life picks up again.

✨✨That’s exactly why now is the perfect time to dive into The Content Spellbook...

❌ Not to overwhelm yourself.
❌ Not to “do it all.”

🪄 But to gently, quietly build the confident and consistent social media presence you want to return to when your brain (and the world) is back in top gear.

Inside this step-by-step toolkit you’ll find 27 simple but powerful spells to:

🪄 Reconnect with your goals and build a strategy that feels sustainable, not soul- sucking.
🪄 Plan content that works with your life, not against it.
🪄 Build your own online army that creates genuine relationships for the future.
🪄 Find the right balance between social media and the rest of your life.

✨ Rest now. Rebuild quietly. And return in September feeling ready to share your magic – without burning out.

August is National Wellness Month, so let’s talk about a kind of wellness we don’t always pay enough attention to…

✨ The kind where you put your wand down and walk away from your social media for a bit. ✨

I know that sounds terrifying when you’ve got a business to run, but here’s something I remind myself (and my clients) all the time:

Just like a wand’s power comes from the wizard, the magic of your content comes from you. 🪄

And if you’re running on empty, then your content is going to feel the strain, too, it's going to lack sparkle and lose that chance at making connections.

Not because you’re doing anything wrong… but because you’re human.

Yes, social media is a powerful tool, but it also has a darker side.

The constant comparison, the endless scroll, the pressure to be present all the time... it sucks away all your happiness like Azkaban's Dementors.

It chips away at your confidence and your mental health without you even realising.

And that’s why I it's sooooo important to find a balance, set boundaries and take a break when you need to.

It's also why I created an entire chapter in The Content Spellbook on Conservation – because balance is what makes your content sustainable in the long term.

You don’t need to be online every day to be consistent.

You don’t need to post through exhaustion just to prove you’re still here.

✨ What you need is a little confidence.
✨ A little bit of a plan.
✨ A little bit of magic just for you.

So this August, for National Wellness Month, I invite you to cast a different kind of spell:

Step back. Reset your mind. Let the magic bubble up naturally while you rest.

Because when you return in September, rested and refocused, your content will be ten times more powerful - and I really want to help you do that!

Summer is wonderful… but let’s be honest – it’s also a lot. 😫

Keeping the kids happy, keeping the business going, keeping yourself from exploding.

And in the middle of all that, there’s still this pressure buzzing in the background:

📱 “Should I be posting?”
📱 “Am I being consistent enough?”
📱 “What if I disappear and people forget I exist?”

Yes, social media is important for your business (obvs)...
But here’s the truth: Your energy is more important. ⚡

Just like a wand’s power comes from the wizard, the magic of your content comes from YOU.

And if you’re tired, burnt out, running on leftovers from the kids’ picnic – your content will lose its sparkle ✨

Social media has enchanted our lives to the point where it feels like second nature, but sometimes you need to take a step back and let the magic work on its own.

Taking a break isn’t lazy or a mistake. It’s a spell that can transform your mind and your posts.

The benefits of stepping away far outweigh the myths of fading visibility.

And, honestly, most of your online army won’t even notice a short absence (and that’s okay!).

Here’s your Magical Break Spell:

🪄 Create Boundaries: Give yourself set times to be on or off your phone.

🪄 Plan Posts Ahead: Schedule a few quick ones to keep things ticking over.

🪄 Repurpose Old Magic: Dust off a post from last year and reuse or reshape it.

🪄 Capture Wandering Thoughts: Jot down ideas when they hit – no scrolling required.

✨ Now, give it a try.

Take a day, a week, or even just an hour – and let me know in the comments if you’re committing!

Because when you return in September – rested, restored and re-inspired – your content will be ten times more powerful ⭐

This topic’s so important, which is why I've dedicated a whole chapter to it in The Content Spellbook.

This is your monthly reminder to check your stats… ✨

Think of it like consulting the Marauder’s Map of your content — you can see exactly where your online army have been sneaking in, what caught their eye, and where the magic truly happened.

Because when you know what’s working, you can:

🪄 Stop waving your wand aimlessly.
🪄 Focus on spells (ahem, posts) that actually work.
🪄 And use your precious time and energy more wisely.

I’ve been sharing my Reduce, Reuse, Recycle spell this week — and working from your insights is the very first step to make that work.

Before you reuse or recycle any content, you need to reduce the effort you’re putting into posts that aren’t casting the right charm.

➡️So open up your insights (consider it your own personal Pensieve):

🧐 What got the most engagement?
🧐 What made people comment, save, or share?
🧐 Which posts lit up your content like Lumos?

All of this helps you brew a strategy that saves time, reduces stress, and keeps your momentum going strong — even when the Muggle world gets busy.

If your analytics look more like Arithmancy than anything else, just send me an owl and I’ll give you a hand 🦉

✨ P.S. This entire Reduce, Reuse, Recycle spell PLUS help with your Insights, is shared inside The Content Spellbook — 27 spells to transform your social media.

✨ It’s mine and Luke’s anniversary today ✨

I’ve been asked a lot recently why I chose the wizard theme for my business… and it made me realise I've never really told many people the full story of our wedding!

So here you are!

Potter runs deep through my story... it’s been there for a long time, and it’s at the heart of so many of my relationships.

Especially me and Luke. 💙

We were actually introduced by our best friends because we both loved the books.

I don’t think anyone expected us to click as much as we did — but we definitely rolled with our mutual love for all things magic.

✨ Our boys are called Harry and James (yes… those Harry and James)
✨ Luke proposed in front of Hogwarts at the Studio Tour in Watford
✨ And our wedding was Potter themed with home-made decorations and more!

We were originally due to get married in July 2020, but (like so many others) we made the tough decision to postpone.

It broke my heart at the time, and I remember turning to Luke and asking, “What would the date be if we move it to next year?”

“Saturday 31st July.” 😮😮

For those who don't know... that's Harry Potter’s birthday!

I mean — if that wasn't fate, I don’t know what is.

We had a Ford Anglia to take us there, my bouquet was made from pages of the books, and our rings were inscribed with the word 'Always'. 😍

It was genuinely a magical day, and after the chaos of Covid it felt the beginning of a whole new, calmer chapter — not just in our lives, but in my story as a business owner too.

So if you ever wonder where The Content Wizards came from… now you know 🪄

Happy anniversary to one of my favourite people — Always.

Dying to get creative, but feel like you're stuck staring at your screen while trying to summon content with a broken wand?

What if I told you that you don’t need to conjure something brand new every time you post?

♻️ You just need to recycle the magic you’ve already made?

On Monday, I asked you to think about your best-performing posts from this time next year, or this year so far...

Every single one of them can be transformed into different formats to draw even more magic out of those brilliant words.

Think of it like content Transfiguration: same ingredients, different spell!

So, here are some ideas for what you could do next:

🪄 Did you do a Live that sparked engagement?
➡️ Write a blog post with the key takeaways (I love using Otter for this!)

🪄 Told a personal story on your Profile?
➡️ Turn snippets into their own standalone posts.

🪄 Got great questions or comments from your Online Army?
➡️ Answer them in new tip posts—it’s content your audience actually asked for.

🪄 Touched on a topic people cared about?
➡️ Create a story with a poll or question box to invite fresh interaction.

🪄 Had a few golden moments on camera?
➡️ Clip them into Reels to reach new people with zero extra effort.

You’ve already done the hard work—now it’s about making the most of it 💫

And guess what? All these ideas (and loads more) are taken straight from The Content Spellbook—my toolkit designed to help you save time and reduce the stress of social media.

✨ 27 spells to transform your content strategy and help you start loving social media again!

Happy 9th birthday to the boy who made me a mum. 💙

I have so much love for this boy, his strength, determination, and that brilliant “DGAF” attitude - it's a lot!

He’s grown up so much in the last year, especially at school, where he’s doing really, really well.

I mean, he’s got more bossy too — he definitely knows who runs this house — but I think we’re settling into a routine of knowing when he needs some space and letting him have it.

Of course, the balance is in knowing when he needs a push, there are some things we need to work on with him - the word 'no' is a little too familiar at the moment!

And with Years 5 and 6 looming very quickly, we’re going to need to keep up with him growing up so fast!

His love for Sonic hasn’t dimmed with the years, but he’s also getting a huge interest in gaming now, which makes him seem so grown up.

There’s also been a love for comics that’s re-sparked his interest in reading, which I’m so happy about. (Huge thanks to Dogman and Captain Underpants for that!)

He’s insisted on staying at home and doing his own thing today, but we’re off to Scarborough tomorrow and then Alpamere for his birthday treat on Friday.

Bring on pizza, cheese puffs, and lots of giggles!

Happy birthday, my boy. I couldn’t be more proud of you. 🎉💙

You don’t need to keep pulling content out of thin air, you know…

Too many parents in business feel like they have to come up with fresh ideas every single day…

But, honestly, you don’t need to put that pressure on yourself.

Especially when the kids are off school and you have a million and one other things to do!

You’ve already created so much brilliant content, why let it sit there gathering digital dust?

🪄 It’s time to transform the old into something new.
🪄 It’s time to get creative with what already worked.
🪄 And it’s time to save yourself hours of stress and doom-scrolling.

This is where content creation finally gets FUN (hard to believe, right?) ...

Because it’s where you get to take your best posts and make even more magic out of them.

Know which post was your best-performing this time last year?

Or maybe there's one that's done really well in the first part of this year? A high-performing post from last year?

It's time to dig those back out and give them a makeover - Transfiguration style!

I'll be sharing exactly how to this on Wednesday, but in the meantime why not take a look back and find your Top Posts?

Let me know what you find!

💡 P.S. My Reduce, Reuse, Recycle spell is shared in detail inside The Content Spellbook—and it’s a total game-changer.

Instead of burning yourself out creating new content all the time, I’ll show you how to make the most of what you’ve already made.

Because the secret to sustainable and successful content is not doing more, it’s reusing what worked and recycling it into something even better.

The Content Spellbook is full of loads of ideas just like this to help you save time and reduce stress with your content.
