If you have a strategy and it isn’t working, then you need to change it.

There's no point in doing the same thing over and over again if it isn't getting you where you want to be.

Of course, growth takes time but don't waste your valuable time on a strategy that isn't fruitful.

Trying to build a brand on social media without a defined strategy can be totally counterproductive. You’ll find yourself just posting for the sake of it, with little rhyme or reason, and as a result, seeing no return from your efforts.

So put some time aside and really look at what you're doing 💜

Feeling like social media's eating up all your time? 😅 Don't worry, you're not alone! Let's ditch that endless scroll and learn how to make awesome content way faster!

Here are a few of my favourite tips to get you started:

👉 First, let's figure out what you want to achieve with social media and make a simple plan. It's all about having a little strategy in your back pocket!

👉 Using pre-made templates is a total game-changer! You don't have to start from scratch every time, which is such a relief.

👉 When you're filming, grab a little extra footage! You can use it later for more content – think of it as your secret stash of b-roll goodies! 😉

👉 Scheduling your content ahead of time makes life so much easier! It's like smooth sailing, and you can always add fun, spur-of-the-moment posts too.

👉 Try creating a bunch of posts all at once! Batching is your new best friend for getting things done efficiently.

Adding music to your posts has been around a while BUT Instagram just confirmed last week that if you add music to your carousel posts they could turn up in the reels feed which means more reach for your posts.

So for the carousels that you’re trying to get in front of new eyeballs this is definitely worth trying.

What do you do to look after your mental health? 🧠

As I mentioned in yesterday's post, the last 12 months have been pretty transformative for me, so as it's World Mental Health Day, I wanted to shout out some of the fab businesses that have been instrumental in all the changes I have made.

I'm Shelley, the face (as they say) behind the business 😊

I started my business over 3.5 years ago now after quite a turbulent period in my life, think Covid, young kids, stress, missing my dad, peri-frigging-menopause etc etc. Turns out all of that was the push I needed to do something for myself, as having my own business has been quite possibly the best thing that happened to me!

The last 12 months have also been a little road into big changes for me. I have embraced my inner woo woo 🧘🏻‍♀️, so you can now find me eagerly awaiting my delivery of Kombucha (not wine!), wild swimming, breathing, treating myself to fabulous retreats, reading book upon book about the brain and telling my kids whenever possible to breathe through their noses 😆 It really has been quite a year.

But this newfound love of all things well-being, means I'm more focused than ever before 👊

Maybe it's a mid life crisis, maybe it's just exactly where I need to be!
I'm going with the latter 💜
