On my way to The Northern Affinity co-working day at Wizu Workspace. Hooking up with other purpose driven business owners and freelancers. No doubt Neurodiversity will be mentioned - once or twice 😁

"I don’t know what I need. I just know this isn’t working."

That sentence hit me hard during a recent coaching session.

My client is a high-achieving professional, spinning all the plates. Major projects. Big expectations. Trying to support a neurodivergent colleague too.

She was running on empty.

No time.
No clarity.
No headspace.

But here’s what changed through coaching:

She stopped chasing ‘perfection’

She started asking better questions

She created room for clarity, not assumptions

Because inclusion doesn’t mean lowering the bar.
It means removing what’s in the way.

It means:

Making support the norm

Listening without rescuing

Creating clarity before offering challenge

Now she’s not just leading others. She’s learning to lead herself.

That’s what real growth looks like.

If this speaks to you, if you’re stuck, burned out, or just know something’s not working, I see you.

You don’t have to figure it out alone.

Message me if you want to explore coaching that’s bold, brain-friendly, and built around you.
Let’s make space for the clarity you’ve been craving.

Ambiguity isn’t neutral. It’s exhausting.
Especially for neurodivergent minds trying to decode the unwritten rules.

"Use your discretion"
"Whatever you think"
"Send it soon"

That’s not clarity. That’s chaos.

Want to have better conversations? Be clear.

What. Why. When.
Say it. Mean it. Watch the difference it makes -

d'ya know what I mean?

Dear Newly Diagnosed Neurodivergent Friend.

First things first, congratulations.

You’re not broken. You’re not too much. You’re not lazy, disorganised or overly sensitive.

You’re just wired differently.

A diagnosis doesn’t come with a manual. It doesn’t magically fix everything. But what it does give you is clarity. Language. A way to make sense of things that never quite felt right.

You might grieve a little. That’s normal.
You’ll reflect on all the times you struggled without knowing why.
You’ll feel a strange mix of relief and anger. That’s normal too.

But you’ll also start to build a life that fits you, instead of forcing yourself to fit into someone else’s mould.

Here’s what I’ve learned:

Find your people. The ones who lift you, not limit you.

You don’t need to explain yourself to everyone.

You deserve support that works for you — not just awareness campaigns.

And no, you’re not alone. You never were.

If you’ve recently been diagnosed, or are still figuring it all out, I see you.

This is just the beginning. And you’ve already come further than you realise.

Feel free to share this with someone who needs to hear it today. Or drop a comment if this hits home.

You don’t need another success strategy. You need space and time to think.

That was the line that really landed during a recent coaching session.
Not in an office. Not over Zoom.
But out by the river, walking slowly, listening to the ducks land on the water and the breeze moving through the trees.

My client, like many founders, professionals and leaders I work with, is in the middle of a major life and career transition.
Their head was full of ideas. Their heart was full of questions.

What matters to me now?
What’s getting in my way?
What can I start saying no to, so I can finally say yes to myself?
What am I actually going to do and when?

And here’s the thing. We didn’t figure it out by pushing harder.
We found clarity by slowing down.
By stepping away from the noise.
By creating the space and time to think.

This is coaching, but not the kind you’re used to.
No suits. No scripts. No pressure to perform.
Just a real conversation in a setting that makes it easier to breathe, reflect and move forward with purpose.

If you’re a leader, founder or professional who’s ready to make a shift and do things differently, I’ve got space for new clients now.

Whether you're neurodivergent, burned out or simply done with trying to think your way out of the same loop, this is your invitation.

Let’s walk and talk. DM me for a free chemistry call.

I offer a range of affordable payment options.

Most speakers play it safe.
I don’t.

At Munich, I told a room full of senior leaders exactly why understanding neurodiversity is no longer optional — and why ticking a box will not cut it anymore.

Impact over inspiration.
Change over comfort.
Reality over recycled rubbish ♻

Alexander 'Sascha' Petsch , CEO of HRM Institute, said it straight:

"Mike delivered an outstanding keynote, inspiring and fully aligned with our audience’s needs. His ability to engage and motivate is exceptional, and he made a lasting impact on everyone there."

If you want your people to hear what matters and act differently because of it, get in touch.
If you want another safe talk that gets forgotten by Monday, keep doing what you’ve always done.

The Podcast is an opportunity to highlight the many brilliant neurodivergent leaders out in the world and share their stories.

In this episode, we were joined by Major Symon Smith of the British Army, who kindly shared his experience of transitioning out of the Military into civilian life as a dyslexic leader. He gave us some insights into how the armed forces are embracing neurodivergent thinking.

If you enjoy the channel, please be sure to like and subscribe as it really helps others find us too.
