That's it now - no more videos will be posted on my Youtube channel. About 6 weeks ago Youtube stopped seeding my shorts, and a week later the same thing happened to the videos, much like switching the light out. As a result, both views and subscribers have dried up completely. I have had enough of spending several hours editing a video for no long term prospects, using an algorithm which is entirely luck based for small channels. I have tried many different things as suggested by VidIQ and others, but nothing has made even the slightest amount of difference.

I will be using this time doing other things, mainly picking my guitars up again, and also trying my hand at competitive mini golf as a member of Foxes Minigolf Club and hoping to help out with their events.

Both this page and the Youtube channel will be deleted after Christmas, so if Foxes Minigolf Club and Welsh Minigolf Club want my videos of their recent tournaments I will be happy to transfer them over before the shared links from my site to yours get broken.

We are at Moreton on the Wirral, playing a superb 18 hole Viking Quest Adventure Golf course. Each hole is related to something about the Vikings, and there are a couple of nice surprises on the way. Thanks to the management, who let us in early and were very accommodating and helpful. One of our favourite courses and well worth a visit.

The 2024 UrbanCrazy Foxes Minigolf Open held at Play2Day, Guyhirn. A good mix of professionals, novices and locals made this event a great experience for everyone. Organised by Foxes Minigolf Club this was the first competition held here, but certainly will not be the last. This is Round 3, where we follow the leading 3 players after Rounds 1 and 2 - James Hollinrake, Steve Hunt and James Rutherford.

The 2024 UrbanCrazy Foxes Minigolf Open held at Play2Day, Guyhirn. A good mix of professionals, novices and locals made this event a great experience for everyone. The tournament at Play2Day at Guyhirn held by Foxes Minigolf Club was well supported with 42 players entering, including a lot of locals. I managed to record all 3 rounds (the hot weather caused the camera to overheat but despite this I lost less than 3 holes on Round 1) and the presentation afterwards. Everybody had a great time, although I did have a feeling that your name had to be James to stand a chance of winning 🤔

Rounds 1,2 and 3 will be posted in the next 3 weeks, and the presentation video will be passed to Foxes for their own use.

What you've all been waiting for, the final round at the 2024 Welsh Crazy Golf Championship at Prestatyn. Round 2 of the 2024 Welsh Crazy Golf Championship, hosted by the Welsh Minigolf Club. this time we follow club captain Martyn Williams as he entertains us with a great variety of shots. The scores at the end of the round are shown at the end of the video, which also includes guest appearances from Cooper the cat.

Round 1 of the 2024 Welsh Crazy Golf Championship at Prestatyn Crazy Golf. There is some preamble before the competition, then I follow Simon Brown (as the winner of last year's event) and his group. The scores of all 29 players are shown at the end. Rounds 2 and 3 will follow in due course.

We return to 4D Golf at Xscape in Castleford and play 15 holes under dark/blacklight conditions. The video has come out really well, nice and clear, and it tells a good story of an archaeologist who has gone missing in the tomb of Akhenaten. I've visited the real place at el-Amarna and lived to tell the tale 😊

My video editing subscription ends in 2 weeks time, and at the present time I feel that I will not be renewing it. The channel has totally stagnated (no subscribers for nearly a week), and Youtube's video/shorts seeding is completely screwed up. It is likely that there will be one more video posted next weekend. Things may change, but I am spending far too much time on this and the expense of other hobbies and when something causes grief and becomes a trigger for depression (completely the opposite effect to the aim at the start), it is time to walk away from it.
