You can catch up with me on BBC Morning Live from this morning on BBC IPLAYER approx 44:30 mins in, alongside the lads from Boston Spa angling club, Alex Farquhar from the Angling trust and the wonderful Megan McCubbin as we discuss pollution in rivers and the changes I have seen over the years as a underwater filmmaker.

Another section of filming the European eel from a few weeks back. It is a while since i filmed eels locally to me so made a welcome change. We also have the date for our next TV appearance and will share this the day before it is broadcast. No idea how long we are on for. Anyway enjoy this short clip.

We have experienced considerable success this year in locating and filming juvenile barbel in rivers. Over the years, we have observed that young barbel are often found in the same areas as gudgeon. It is always interesting to wonder how large they will eventually grow, and these specimens appear to be in excellent health.

Details to follow. You can catch up with us soon on tv where we are discussing freshwater fish such as the grayling in the picture below, and pollution in rivers. Filming for it was great. Just unfortunate the river was in flood. As and when we get confirmation on times and dates we will post on here.

Welcome to our new showreel for the website. We travel across the United Kingdom, filming in rivers and lakes to capture the beauty of freshwater environments. Our work includes commissioned film projects, the supply of high-quality stock footage, and video presentations for festivals and events related to freshwater conservation.

The trailer for the new micro documentary "Waters Of Life-Wykehams Underwater Wilderness"

If you are interested in a screening, read on.

Over the past two years, we have been capturing the hidden beauty of Wykeham Lakes — a place where a truly thriving freshwater ecosystem flourishes beneath the surface. Here, life unfolds in perfect balance, revealing what is possible when nature is allowed to thrive.

Wykeham Lakes is far more than a sanctuary for wildlife; it is a reservoir of life itself — filtering water, nurturing biodiversity, and quietly reminding us of our profound and fragile connection to the natural world.

This is a story that must be told — a story that rekindles our understanding of the harmony between life and water, and what it means for the world we share.

We are planning our first screening for March 2026, though we welcome invitations to share this film across the country.

More than simply beautiful, this film serves as a gentle yet powerful reminder of the importance of our freshwater ecosystems — and of the life that depends upon them.

The opening titles of the new documentary about what a thriving and flourishing underwater ecosystem looks like. The film is ahead of schedule and we are working on a trailer now before submissions go out for a public screening. Think it is some of our best work and it really captures the beauty of this outstanding lake.
None of this would of been possible without the help of Lauren & James at North Yorkshire Water Park Fisheries and previous people that ran the complex.

Superb evening in Cambridge at the Rivers Of Film Festival showing my new documentary and discussing why freshwater fish and the freshwater aquatic environment are so important and why they need nurturing to not only thrive but flourish. Also covered the pressure's rivers are facing. Fabulous to meet The River Girl and Noah Huntley and a huge thankyou to James, Clara and Mark and the entire team for having me there and Water Sensitive Cambridge

“In one’s filming career, there are always certain moments that stand out from the rest. This was one such occasion, when I came virtually face to face with a stunning pike. Unfortunately, she would not allow me to get close enough to spend more time filming her.”

Should be interesting when it launches by Matt Hayes

Otter Watersports Drysuits
I have been filming in freshwater rivers and lakes for over 30 years. To date, there is only one drysuit on the market that truly withstands the demands of my work—whether I am being dragged over rocks on riverbeds, lying on gravel bars, or enduring other challenging conditions. This drysuit consistently proves itself to be up to the task. I personally own two made-to-measure Otter Britannic drysuits, have been using Otter drysuits for 30 years now.
