Legally, you can smash the window if you believe the car owner would consent to it if they knew the dog was in danger - otherwise, it could be classed as criminal damage and you would need to defend your actions in court.

But of course you should smash the window.

Two whales were killed off the coast of Iceland on Sunday, two days after commercial hunting resumed following a two-year pause.

Before the vessels set off on Friday, a protester had attached himself to one of the masts in the port of Reykjavik, but climbed down and was escorted away by police.

Neil Duncan-Jordan, Labour MP for Poole, has put forward a new bill to close loopholes in the Hunting Act 2004.

Mr Duncan-Jordan said: "I've spent months listening to animal welfare experts, hunt saboteurs and law enforcement to help me draft my Hunting Act 2004 (Amendment) Bill."

The bill would remove exemptions from the original law, which he says have allowed hunts to continue under the guise of legality.

Enfield Council's new Conservative administration has reversed a meat-free catering policy and agreed to put meat back on menus at council events.

The council said the move fulfilled a manifesto commitment to put “meat back on the menu” while Cllr Alex Georgiou said the authority was “beefing back up Enfield”.

A tick which causes people to develop allergies to meat and dairy is spreading across the northeastern US.

The lone star tick's bite can cause alpha-gal syndrome (AGS), which can lead to life threatening symptoms which usually appear two to six hours after eating red meat or dairy products, where alpha-gal is found naturally.
