Leaks in apartment buildings aren’t always from the water heaters!

This leak was initially reported as coming from the Unvented Cylinder but was traced back to a water supply pipe in the ceiling. Neat hole cut (future repairs are easier) for access, failed fitting rebuilt and pipework cut back. Disaster averted!

We’re so lucky to be based in - we really should take the time to look up once in a while.

This old ‘regular’ boiler in Wetherby had seen its end days- leaks, seals not sealing, and the case at the point of rusting through, potentially allowing gasses into the building.

The new Worcester ri replaces it- a very simple boiler, with a Worcester system filter to keep it cleaner for longer.

Fire up your heating through summer! 🔥

I know- sounds silly. Here’s why it’s a great idea!

Whacking your thermostat to max (each one if you have multiple heating zones) and waiting until you feel some heat in the radiators ‘excercises’ the valves etc on your system, making it less likely that they’ll stick or fail in October when you need them the most.

If there’s a fault- it’s easier and quicker to get that sorted now than when it’s snowing outside ⛄️

Something to also check is that none of your radiators are heating up when you have a hot tap running (combi boilers)

Hopefully everything will be smashing.

If not- you know what to do!
