Hello to my new followers, and existing ones too - I’m Natalie 👋🏻

I work full time in an office job (boring!), and when I’m not working I’m either travelling - cramming a week’s worth of activities into a weekend itinerary, or sharing helpful content about travels on my blog or Instagram.

Number 1 won hands down! 🤩

That’s my 2025 year in travel wrapped! ✈️

I visited 25 countries again this year (26 if you count Transnistria, which isn’t UN recognised), and some more than once. I also completed my map of Europe (excluding Ukraine & Belarus for now) and made it into the southern hemisphere for the first time. 🌍

I have so many amazing memories from my travels. From watching beautiful sunsets to flying in tiny twin propellor planes, and from sailing through a lake of lily pads to seeing hippos and giraffes in the wild. 🦒

Shocker: I actually don’t have anything planned yet for 2026! I want to slow down a little and visit some more long haul countries for longer trips, after a little break. But we will see! I’m sure I won’t be able to resist the urge to travel for long! 😂

Here’s the mini long weekend plan that fits around your job and ticks all the right boxes:

Day 1: St. Gallen, Switzerland
✈️ Arrive via Zurich, then explore the old-town charm of St Gallen. Marvel at the baroque abbey library and weave through the textile museum. Finish with a cheese factory trip (fondue, anyone?).

Day 2: Bregenz, Austria
🚄 Short train ride across the border to Bregenz. Roam the narrow streets of the old town, snap a shot at the lakeside floating stage, then ride the cable-car up for unbeatable views.

Day 3: Lindau, Germany
⛴ Hop on a scenic passenger ship to Lindau. Wander the cobbled lanes, climb the lighthouse, and savour a bit of local wine at a family-run winery. Finish the evening with a unique marionette opera.

Pastel streets, lakeside walks, mountain views and modern art — Bregenz, Austria, had me hooked from the first stroll. 💛
