Starting to dream up our France caravan trip for 2026
🇫🇷⛺️
We loved our 2025 adventure so much that we’re already planning another, but slightly shorter at only 3 weeks in 2026 but where to go?!
Coastal, countryside or somewhere with all the croissants?

Keeping a caravan spotless with kids around?
It’s Impossible.
But these definitely feel like cheating: 🤭

✨ Anti-bac wipes & Travel-size cleaning sprays in refillable bottles, no more lugging around full-size bottles

✨In winter use the shower as a mud trap shoes, boots, and dog towels live there until dry.

✨ Over-door hooks or suction hooks and hanging organisers keeps jackets and bags off the seats and floor.

✨ A doormat at every door (yes, both of them)

✨ “Shoes off” rule that 50% of the family actually follow

✨ Quick reset before leaving a site

Crackers, wrap, tags & gift bags, and they’ve got caravans on them! Couldn’t have been more me if they tried!

Throwback to Black Horse Farm
Can’t believe it’s been 3 months since we set off for our big summer adventure
🇫🇷
We kicked things off with an overnight stop at Black Horse Farm Caravan and Motorhome Club Site — the perfect base before our Dover–Calais ferry with P&O
⚓️
If you’re planning a crossing, the Caravan and Motorhome Club’s ferry pitches make life so much easier, you can arrive late, leave early and roll straight onto your ferry
⛴️
They’re available at:
🚐 Black Horse Farm (Dover) – perfect for Calais crossings 🇫🇷
🚐 Rookesbury Park (Fareham) – ideal for Portsmouth sailings 🇪🇸
🚐 Wi******er Morn Hill (Hampshire) – another brilliant southern stopover 🌳

💡 Our top Tips for Using Ferry Pitches:
🍽️ Bring a ready meal or something quick to heat up, little to no washing up before travel day!
☕ Prep your travel mugs and snacks the night before, mornings always come around fast!
⏰ Set an early alarm and check your ferry booking before bed, less stress when it’s time to roll out.
🏕️
Black Horse Farm is now closed for the winter ❄️, but Bearsted Club Site is a lovely alternative nearby — no ferry pitches, but still a great overnight stop before heading south.

Proof that miracles happen… all 8 of us looking AND smiling at once
😍
Caravanning with our favourite people this half term resulted in a little bit of chaos, plenty of laughter and lots more amazing memories made!
It’s been an amazing 4 years of caravanning together so far since the first October half term trip in 2021
❤️
Here’s to many more adventures (and maybe a few more miracle photos!)

🚐 8 Nights on the Isle of Wight, What a Trip! 🌊
From sea views to scones, this island break had it all! We spent an amazing 8 nights caravanning with friends at Southland Caravan & Motorhome Club Site, and honestly, it was the perfect family getaway.

✨ Highlights:
🏰 Osborne House a total win for the grown-ups (history, gardens & royal vibes!)
🎢 Robin Hill was the kids’ favourite, full of adventure and laughs
🍔 The Cow for the best burgers and views
🛒 Harvey Browns Farm Shop, foodie heaven and great for local treats

Already planning our next visit, there’s just something special about island life 💛

There’s something super special about stepping into the history at Osborne House, it’s a very different experience as this was clearly a family home first and you could really feel that!
🏰
We spent the afternoon wandering through the gardens, peeking into the grand rooms where Queen Victoria once stayed, and pretending (just for a moment!) that this was our summer home too
👑🌿
Of course, no visit is complete without tea and cake and a walk down to her private beach where we enjoyed with sea views that make you understand why she loved it here so much
🍰✨
We used one of the free English Heritage family passes advertised recently, and honestly… I think we’re thinking Membership might definitely be on the cards for 2026!

👉 Swipe to see our favourite moments from the day the stunning house, the beach walk, and (yes!) that all-important cake stop.

Have you joined English Heritage before? Would love to know if you think the membership’s worth it 💬

🎉🐾 Happy 11th Birthday to our gorgeous boy, Hugo!
❤️
Still the king of the caravan sofa, the best crumb cleaner around, and always first in line if there’s a sausage on the
😆
He’s slowing down a little these days, but he’s still got that same cheeky sparkle and waggy tail that’s been with us through every caravan adventure so far.
🥰
From countryside wanders to caravan cuddles,he fills our lives with so much love (and muddy pawprints!).
We love you to bits, Hugo boy 💕
