WANT TO LEARN HOW TO CREATE GREAT VIDEOS?
I’m launching a practical four-lesson filmmaking course designed to take you from your first idea to a finished video that’s ready to share on social media.
I’m a filmmaker and, from a previous life, I also hold professional teaching qualifications, so these will be properly structured lessons in a relaxed, supportive environment.
Classes will be capped at just six people, giving everyone plenty of practical support and one-to-one guidance.
Each session will last approximately 3–4 hours, giving you around 16 hours of tuition across the full course.
WHAT WE’LL COVER:
🎥 Lesson 1: Inspiration & Research
We’ll head out for a creative walk, find inspiration for a video and learn how to turn an interesting idea into something worth filming.
📝 Lesson 2: Scripting & Planning
Using simple templates, we’ll turn your research into a script, develop a strong hook and plan the shoot.
📍 Lesson 3: Filming on Location
We’ll bring the plan to life while learning practical camera techniques, composition and how to capture footage that works in the edit.
✂️ Lesson 4: Editing & Sharing
We’ll put everything together into a complete video that’s ready to publish on social media.
Along the way, I’ll cover:
• How to create hooks that hold people’s attention
• Practical filming techniques
• Editing skills and free software options
• Planning and storytelling
• Ways you could earn money from the content you go on to create
PRICE FOR ALL FOUR LESSONS:
£250 per person (£50 deposit taken when booking)
£150 with a valid student card (£50 deposit taken when booking)
I’m looking at running courses in Lichfield, Tamworth and Stafford—with Sutton Coldfield added if there’s enough interest.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
• A phone capable of filming in 4K or a camera
• Editing software—we can explore the free options together
• Enthusiasm and good vibes!
A camera may be available to borrow if needed, so please don’t let equipment stop you from getting involved.
