Trap marks a bold shift for M.Night Shyamalan, the self-appointed sorcerer of cinematic twists (that was a tongue twister!) We, the audience get to see the twist early on in the film, as Shyamalan appears to lay’s all his cards on the table.

It’s no spoiler to say the core of Trap revolves around a serial killer, known as The Butcher, trying to stay one step ahead of the law, while chaperoning his daughter to a Lady Raven concert (more on that later). The trailers spilled that much already—and frankly, that choice alone is fascinating. Why give away the twist? Maybe the real tension isn’t about the first discovery, but what comes later.

I was 'Wide Awake' in the heat this morning and it's 'Happening'. In a surprise 'Twist', I have written a new The Silver Hedgehog film review.

I hope to have it up over the next day or so before my writing gets 'Old'.

Does anyone have a '6th Sense' guess on what film it might be?

There are 'Signs' in this post, I hope we don't get a 'Split' vote.

Reportedly Jerry Bruckheimer is in discussions over a sequel to one of my favourite films Crimson Tide. It will be interesting to see what they do 30 years later and without the late great Gene Hackman.

Rip Joe Don Baker

The deliberate voice of America across three Bond films, Joe Don Baker played both villain and ally. His Napoleonic spin as villain Brad Whitaker in THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS (1987) was an ever prescient swipe at Oliver North and Reagan's Soviet activities in the 1980s. His later role as brash ally Jack Wade in GOLDENEYE (1995) and TOMORROW NEVER DIES (1997) brought both Felix Leiter and Sheriff J W Pepper back in spirit into the Bond fold and the Brosnan era.

Rest in peace, Joe Don Baker.
