Oooh look what’s arrived!…
THE WINTER 2025 EDITION ✨ adorned with the stunning artwork by Sally Victoria Art and beautifully printed and delivered by the brilliant Ruddocks. Full to the brim with the most wonderful, hard-working indie Lincolnshire biz 🌟

I’ll be whizzing all over the county with these gems, so if you see one - pick it up and have a browse 👀 They are already finding there way around Lincoln 🚚 💨

You will find gift ideas for the festive season and all the events and markets you can think of in the Christmas Events pages…

Starting from today at the Lincolnshire Makers ‘Merry Makers Market’ in Spalding, where I will be handing out these gorgeous winter books for FREE! Come and grab one, plus see a whole host of amazing local artisan makers, food producers, artists, designers and more!

Delighted to introduce the front cover for the upcoming Winter 2025 Edition 🌟✨ Featuring an integalactic explosion of colour and glitter from the one and only Sally Victoria Art who uses expressive hand and fingerpainting to create dynamic and vibrant artwork.

Sally Victoria is an artist known for her unique technique of painting exclusively with her hands. Each painting is one of a kind, with colours blended directly on the canvas as she uses it as her mixing palette. This hands on approach creates a genuine connection between artist and artwork, allowing emotion and energy to flow freely through every movement. Sally loves to travel and gather inspiration for her art and her vibrant creations are filled with warmth and joy, reflecting her mission to spread happiness around the world through her bright and uplifting art.

Despite travelling to many places globally, Sally still loves to call Lincolnshire her home and loves the nature. She based the artwork ‘Spaceman Sparkle’ on the starry skies over Martin in Lincolnshire.

What a lovely day yesterday!! Spent in the company of the most wonderful small bizzers 🌟 Thank you so much to all who came to my little lunchtime autumn edition launch at Sparkhouse Lincoln It was great to have the brilliant Mel Langton Art there together with the Sparkhouse team who feature on the cover and whom you can read about on the pages 💜

Was so lovely to see you all IRL and catch up with the latest news and projects, whilst dining on the most delicious grazing boards from the fabulous Castiza

I’ve been lucky enough to have met some fantastic people during the course of ‘Little Book’s’ life so far and I’m looking forward to having some new businesses involved in the upcoming Winter edition too 🎉

Onwards today to Stamford, to see some equally brilliant entrepreneurs and inspirational creatives! What a great way to ease into the weekend!

Introducing the front cover for the upcoming Autumn Edition 🎉🎉 A fun and vibrant depiction of the fab Sparkhouse Studios, a wonderful business hub based at Rope Walk, near the University of Lincoln. The cover was Illustrated by the brilliant Mel Langton Art 💜 encapsulating the diverse local businesses and vibrant community spirit synonymous with Sparkhouse Lincoln 🌟

What a fantastic small biz collaboration!!

Sparkhouse is the perfect home for start-ups, solopreneurs and early-stage founders looking for an affordable office space where they can grow their business. As a business incubation centre first and foremost, Sparkhouse has a community of like-minded founders, meaning that you are never alone as you look to develop your business. Not just the business community, the Sparkhouse team will also be on hand to support you throughout your tenancy, with access to networks, connections, exclusive events, access to academics and students and more.

Sparkhouse looks to develop a thriving community of start-ups, all working towards the same goal of growing and scaling their businesses, to the benefit of Lincoln, Lincolnshire and beyond! You can read all about them in the upcoming Autumn edition of the Little Book of Small Businesses

Mel Langton is an award-winning freelance designer and illustrator who creates unique, colour-popping original hand-drawn artwork, custom portraits and homewares for vibrant individuals. She loves helping people tell their story while expressing their individuality, personality and passions.

Mel is currently working on community art projects with Rooted Arts and Illustrating Boston, and is also creating new artwork for her forthcoming solo exhibition, entitled ‘Fierce’, running 30th September to 5th October at Indigo Crow Gallery on Burton Road, Lincoln. Make sure to check it out!!
